Over 10,000 baby boxes given to new parents since August
More than 20,000 Scottish families have registered for the scheme
The number of baby boxes delivered in Scotland has now reached 10,000.
More than 20,000 families have registered to get a box - which contain essentials like clothes, a blanket and a thermometer, while the boxes can also be used for babies to sleep in.
The scheme, inspired by Finnish baby boxes, is aimed at tackling inequality and promoting health.
Childcare and early years minister Mark McDonald said: “I want every child born in Scotland to have the best start in life and the baby box is a key part of that.
“It is great to see so many new and expectant parents receiving and registering for their boxes.
“The feedback we have had so far is very positive and we will continue to work with parents to ensure the contents of the box meet their needs."
