Vinnie Jones vows to donate Celebrity X Factor money to late wife Tanya's hospitals
Tanya lost her battle with cancer in July this year
After pulling out of this year's The X Factor: Celebrity following the tragic death of his wife Tanya, former footballer Vinnie Jones was welcomed back to the show by boss Simon Cowell, after he revealed, "she would love me to do it.”
Now, just days ahead of the first live show of this year's Celebrity X Factor, Vinnie has vowed to donate any money he makes off the show to the hospitals his late wife received treatment at whilst she was ill.
Taking to Twitter, Vinnie wrote, 'I've decided any proceeds of a record contract from X-factor will go to Harefield hospital and Cedars Sinai. NOW im ready to Rock n Roll 👊🏻 @TheXFactor #CelebrityXFactor'. sic
Fans of the actor were quick to comment on his post, congratulating him on the amazing gesture.
One fan wrote, 'Good luck Vinnie behind you 100%', with another adding, 'God bless you pal, you're an inspiration to us all'. A third then wrote, 'What a legend,a great gesture. Best of luck with it Vinnie 👏💪'. sic
Another fan then added, 'I love this!! What a worthy cause, harefield is a wonderful hospital they saved my life 3 months ago 🙌🏻❤️'. sic

After initially pulling out of the show following the tragic death of his wife Tanya in July, Vinnie Jones was invited to the live shows by Simon Cowell, with the former footballer saying, "I'd be honoured, she would love me to do it." Sadly, he left the competition in Week 5 with Try Stars.

David Hasselhoff's 27-year-old daughter Hayley was sent packing after her audition. Hayley failed to impress her mentor Louis Walsh, meaning she didn't make it to the live shows.

Former Strictly dancer Brendan and former Holby City actor Jeremy were also sent home after their initial audition, failing to impress mentor Simon Cowell.

Ricki Lake lost her place on the show when she received the lowest votes from the public during the first live show.
Olivia Olson
Despite Simon Cowell telling her she could 'win' the show, Love Actually actress Olivia Olson was sent home during the first live show.
Jonny Labey
Despite getting a 'safe seat' during the first live show, former EastEnders actor Jonny Labey was given the boot in Week Two.
Victoria Ekanoye
After quitting Coronation Street in January this year, soap star Victoria Ekanoye landed a role on Celebrity X Factor, but her time on the show was cut short when she was voted out in the second live show.
No Love Lost
Despite singing some of their original songs on the show, Love Island stars Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker, Zara McDermott and Wes Nelson were given the boot during the third live show.
Martin Bashir
After forgetting his lyrics the week before, the third live show proved the end for broadcasting legend Martin Bashir.
Viewers of The X Factor: Celebrity were over the moon during last weekend's show, when head judge Simon Cowell called Vinnie to offer him a place in the live shows.
Speaking to Simon, Vinnie said, "My daughter is fantastic, she’s been strong, it’s really brought us closer together. We are just getting through it, you just learn to carry the grief really Simon.
"Well Tan’s pushed me really Simon, we knew it was all going on, and I put it to the family and Tan was very excited about it."
Vinnie's wife Tanya passed away at the age of just 53 in July this year, following a six-year battle with cancer.
