Popular This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield enjoyed their final show for a while last week, as the pair now have seven weeks off to enjoy the summer with their families.

Holly and Phillip, who have been on our TV screens every morning during the lockdown, are taking the deserved break over the summer holidays, and now the pair's replacements have been confirmed.

Taking the reigns on Monday-Thursday will be usual Friday hosts, married couple Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, with Ore Oduba and Rochelle Humes pairing up to host the show on Fridays.

Ahead of their first show on Monday 13th July, Eamonn took to social media to write, 'Ruth and I are so happy to be taking the plunge on This Morning for the next 7 weeks that we wanted to end our week holiday refreshed and with something to remember!'. (sic)

Fans of the show seem to be over the moon about the replacements, with one fan writing, 'Literally so happy about this!! Working from home, so you will be keeping me going! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘'. (sic)

Another wrote, 'Love your humour Eamonn!😂 so happy that we have you and Ruth on our screens for the next 7 weeks. My fave duo presenters!❤️'. (sic)

A third then added, 'You two are the best This Morning presenters, I only watch it when you're on x'. (sic)

Ore Oduba also posted about his involvement in the show, sharing a old selfie with Rochelle Humes.

He wrote, 'Fancy hosting @thismorning together Friday @rochellehumes !! 🙊 honoured as ever to be presenting this glorious show and can’t bloody wait... about time to update the picture too, right Roch?? #thismorning' (sic)

It has also been confirmed that X Factor host Dermot O'Leary will be a guest presenter on a Friday, teaming up with both Rochelle and This Morning favourite Alison Hammond.

The news comes just weeks after reports suggested the BBC had 'poached' usual host Phillip Schofield, with his ITV contact said to be up in 2021.

However, the 58-year-old seemingly shut down these rumours, telling a fan on Twitter they were false.
