This Morning viewers were left amazed today when Jayne Hardman appeared on the programme to show off her incredible new prosthetic nose which is attached by magnets.

Jayne, who is set to appear on Davina McCall's This Time Next Year this evening, explained to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes that she suffers from an autoimmune disease, which caused the collapse of her nose.

In a clip from tonight's episode of This Time Next Year, Jayne emotionally spoke to Davina about the struggles she faced. But as documented on This Morning, 12 months on and Jayne has now had a prosthetic nose built.

Showing off her new nose to Ruth and Eamonn, Jayne revealed that it is attached by magnets and then proceeded to show viewers at home how it attaches to her face.

As the show aired, viewers of This Morning expressed their amazement at Jayne's nose, with many complimenting her courage...

Jayne revealed how 'amazing' she feels with her new nose and explained she now has a sense of smell. She also told Ruth and Eamonn that she takes the prosthetic nose off when she goes to bed, before putting it back on the following morning.

Speaking about the moment she discovered she has an autoimmune disease, Jayne revealed her dog jumped up and hit her in the nose back in 2012. After travelling to see a number of different doctors, Jayne was later told the issues she was having was in fact nothing to do with her dog.

Instead, it was down to her having a type of vasculitis, which mainly affects your upper airways and your lungs.

Explaining the effects of the disease in more detail, the 48-year-old said, "It was basically necrotising, it was eating away, so that my septum crumbled and went and my nose started to fall into my face. So over the period of a couple of years, it went to being swollen and on, to completely flat."
