This Morning star Alison Hammond was one of the lucky ones to jet off to Portugal on Monday 17th May, when the travel restrictions in England lifted following months of lockdown, but it nearly ended in tears!

After documenting her journey to Madeira during yesterday's show, Alison once again joined hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby via a video link from the stunning Machico beach, making the hosts and everybody at home watching very jealous of the sun, sea and sand she was experiencing.

However, after Phillip and Holly asked the bubbly host to walk into the freezing cold sea, Alison nearly went flying head first into the water, with the pair in fits of both laughter, followed by relief back in the studio when she managed to stay on her feet.

Viewers were quick to take to social media after seeing the clumsy moment live, expressing how much joy Alison brings them.

One user wrote: 'I love her energy and vibes 💝 a beautiful soul 💗', with another writing: 'I just love you Alison 🥰 your energy is infectious xx'. A third then added: 'Only Alison 😂😂😂😂'.

Of course, this isn't the only time Alison's antics have left viewers of This Morning in fits of laughter.

If you cast your minds back to October 2018, Alison nearly fell off This Morning's weather map at the Albert Dock in Liverpool, pushing the sailor into the water in the process.
