The Umbrella Academy star reveals season 3 change you may have missed
Did you spot it? 👀
Season three of quirky Netflix sci-fi show The Umbrella Academy officially landed on the streaming platform back on 22nd June, with fans getting their fix of action from the Hargreeves siblings, almost two years after the release of the show's second season.
Despite a memorable ending to season two, seeing the gang come face to face with the Sparrow Academy, show star Justin Min has now revealed a certain detail change in season three that broke continuity from season two, that fans might have missed!
Justin, who plays the role of Ben Hargreeves, has pointed out that a certain detail surrounding his character's appearance changed for the opening scene of season three, which was a direct continuation of the previous season.
At the end of season two, Ben appeared alive in front of his siblings, as a member of the Sparrow Academy, donning asymmetrical bangs which draped over his face - a typical look from season one/two Ben. However, in season three, Ben now sports a more modern, spiky-hairdo.
And it seems that the actor is more than happy with Ben's new do, speaking about the continuity error to TVLine and saying: "You know, they talk about the happiest day in your life. The bangs had a great run, but they had to go. They kept falling out.
"It was going to be a nightmare to film with that, so the hair went up, and we called it a day."
As fans of the show will know, Ben's hairdo wasn't the only thing to change about the character in season three, however it's fair to say that the other changes are a lot more noticeable. After previously featuring in the show as the ghost of the family's lovable late sibling, fans were surprised as season three Ben appeared as a dominant member of the Sparrow Academy.
As we now know, the Sparrow Academy consists of Marcus (#1), Ben (#2), Fei (#3), Alphonso (#4), Sloane (#5), Jayme (#6) and Christopher (#7), adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves in place of the Umbrella Academy.
If you haven't binge watched all 10 episodes yet, we wont ruin it for you, but it's fair to say that the Umbrella Academy don't get off to the best of starts with their new Sparrow rivals.
The Umbrella Academy seasons one-three are available to stream now on Netflix.
