Strictly Come Dancing has been thrown into chaos at the moment, with Will Bayley being forced to quit the show due to injury, and professional dancer Neil Jones' place also in doubt.

After picking up a last-minute injury during last weekend's live show, with just 45 minutes notice eliminated pro Kevin Clifton stepped in to learn the routine with footballer Alex Scott. However, despite the change in partner, Alex smashed the Ghostbusters-inspired routine, scoring an incredible 34 points.

Now, with just days to go until Saturday's live show, Neil has updated fans on his injury, admitting he's still not right.

Revealing himself and Alex will take on the American Smooth to 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', Neil tweeted, 'Yes I can’t wait this week myself @AlexScott will be dancing American Smooth to “Ain’t no mountain high enough” I just need to hurry up and recover'. sic

Fans were quick to comment on Neil's update, wishing the dancer a speedy recovery. One user wrote, 'yes you do! we’re all sending you lots of love and recovery wishes', with another adding, 'ahh i cant wait i love that dance and song get well soon legend sending love 💘'. sic

A third then joked, 'Can you work the crutches into the choreography mate?'. sic

With Neil's upcoming performance in doubt, Paralympian Will Bayley released a statement last night (Wednesday 30th October) revealing he's had to quit the competition following a serious knee injury.

He said, “I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received.

"I want to say a special thank you to Janette for believing in me, and giving me the confidence to believe in myself.

"The things we achieved, from our couple’s choice dance, through to the lifts in our salsa, will stay with me forever. I’ve had the time of my life."

Will's exit from the competition means this year's final will only have three couples, instead of the usual four.
