It was only last year she landed her very own TV show in the form of Sort Your Life Out, but it looks like we are going to be seeing a lot more of Loose Women star Stacey Solomon on our screens, as she's landing a new presenting role!

It has now been confirmed that mum-of-four Stacey will replace Tom Allen as host on Bake Off: The Professionals, The Great British Bake Off's popular spin-off show.

Taking to the show's Twitter page, bosses unveiled Stacey as the new presenter, sharing a photo alongside usual faces Liam Charles, Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

The message read: 'Choux la la! We're chuffed to announce that @StaceySolomon will be joining @LiamCBakes, @BenoitBlin_MCA and @Cherish_Finden for the next series of Bake Off: The Professionals. Welcome to the petit fours-ome, Stacey! #GBBO'. (sic)

Stacey, who likes to keep her Instagram followers up to date with her life, also shared the news on her own account, sharing a video of herself expressing her excitement.

She said: "I'm finally allowed to tell you the reason I've been away filming is because I'm presenting Bake Off: The Professionals this year. I honestly couldn't believe they even asked me. I was so nervous to follow in Tom's footsteps but he's been so kind and helpful and we've filmed a couple of episodes and everyone's been so so lovely."

Stacey then added: "I just eat cake all day. I'm so excited to finish filming and I can't wait for you to see it."

It seems fans are also over the moon at Stacey's new appointment, with many commenting their sheer excitement at the news.

One wrote: 'Oh yay, this is amazing! We can't wait for this! #GBBO', with another adding: 'She will be fab, can't wait'. (sic)

Check out which other TV shows we can't wait for the return of:

Originally called Bake Off: Crème de la Crème, the popular spin-off show first hit our TV screens back in 2016, when it previously aired on BBC One.

Just like the main Bake Off show, Bake Off: The Professionals moved over to Channel 4, where there was a change in format and personnel. The main concept of the show sees a number of professional pastry chefs from well-stablished restaurants and hotels competing in a cooking competition.

The last series of Bake Off: The Professionals aired back in May last year, with the 2022 series expected to land around the same time.
