What is Bumper In Berlin?
Bumper In Berlin is the TV spin-off to Pitch Perfect.
Bumper's character heads up acapella group The Treblemakers in the first movie, The Barden Bellas' direct competitor at Barden University.
And after Bumper played a security guard in the second movie, the TV spin-off will follow Bumper as he moves to Germany to pursue his music career when one of his songs become a big hit in Berlin.
Pitch Perfect's commentator Elizabeth Banks, who appears in all three movies as Gail Abernathy-McKadden, was the executive producer of the TV show, with Adam Devine also featuring as an executive producer.
Susan Rovner, chairman of entertainment content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, told Variety last year: "Our upcoming Pitch Perfect series is another example of the unmatched synergy NBCUniversal is able to expand upon with our wide-ranging library of IP.
"When we saw the opportunity to create a series for Pitch Perfect with executive producers Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Paul Brooks plus more earworm classics for super fans to enjoy, we jumped at it.
"And to top it off, we are so fortunate that Adam Devine is headlining the series and bringing fans the quirky, laugh-out-loud sensibility they loved in the film franchise."
