Michelle Keegan's future on Our Girl has been revealed after THAT cliffhanger
It was a big one!

Michelle Keegan has been starring as Corporal Georgie Lane on Our Girl since 2016, and in all that time, viewers have NEVER faced such a huge cliffhanger as the one that occured at the end of the series finale last Tuesday (24th July). Pretty much the entire cast - including Georgie - threw themselves off the edge of a cliff.
After being caught in a shootout with a drug gang to try and save Inspector Chowdhrey's son Sumon, the crew were overpowered as the gang called in reinforcements, causing the group to retreat and run for their lives - having to jump off the cliff as they realised there was nowhere else to go.
That was literally the end of the show - an actual cliffhanger, causing gobsmacked viewers to take to Twitter so they could vent their confusion and anger.
Thankfully, according to Metro.co.uk, the BBC will be renewing the series - AND will have Michelle Keegan on board.
The publication have reported that a TV insider said that producers are very happy with Michelle's performance, and were "keen to write her into a further series after developing her character," adding that they're hoping to give her some "meaty storylines" which will revolve around "both action and romance."
Although they have yet to confirm the new series, a BBC spokesperson told the publication, "Our Girl has performed consistently well over the summer and is still being watched by a big audience on BBC iPlayer. We are in discussions about future Our Girl series."
Michelle has, of course, loved starring in the series, and took to Instagram to gush over the show just before the finale aired. She wrote, 'What a journey, what an experience, what an amazing bunch of people. Thank you for the memories guys. Thank you to everybody who has tuned in over the weeks, your support has been everything!'

Michelle Keegan found fame after starring as Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street. Although she was originally just meant to be a small part, Michelle proved so popular that she was made a central character, and ended up staying on the show from 2008 until 2014, when Tina was murdered by Rob Connor.
