Actress Nicola Coughlan shared her disappointment in missing the season two premiere of Bridgerton on Tuesday 22nd March and took to Instagram to share photos of the glamourous makeup and jewellery that she planned to wear.

The world premiere for the second season of the hit Netflix show took place at the Tate Modern in London on Tuesday, and Nicola sadly was unable to attend after testing positive for Covid-19.

This didn't stop her from showing off how she would've looked, as she got dressed up at home and shared gorgeous photos of the glam stay-at-home look on Instagram. Her sparkly silver jewellery and red lipstick were paired with a white dressing gown and her hair wrapped up in a towel.

In the post's caption, she explained to fans why she was missing the event and how 'heartbroken' she was about it. She also joked about her outfit and the fact it wasn't quite how she was expecting to look that evening: 'My Bridgerton Premiere look- a little different than expected.

'So I’ve been struck down with Miss Rona and I’m missing our first premiere- heartbroken is an understatement but sending so much love to my gorgeous cast mates who I hope have the best night'.

She showed her sense of humour as she joked: 'Also ‘infectious virus but make it fashion’' and tagged stylist Aimée Croysdill and some of her beauty products.

Her friends took to the comments to share their love, with season two co-star Charithra Chandran saying: 'We'll miss you so much my lovely ❤️❤️❤️', and the show's creator remarking: 'sending you ALL of the love !'.

The Derry Girls star went on to share a photo of her in the same get-up eating a bowl of noodles, as well as photos of her co-stars from the premiere on her story.

Bridgerton season two will land on Netflix on 25th March and we can't wait to watch it!

Check out the cast joining Bridgerton for season two:

Simone Ashley who will play Kate Sharma

If you haven't been living under a rock these past couple years, you'll probably recognise Simone from a not-so-little Netflix original called Sex Education.

In the show, Simone plays 'cool' girl Olivia but, now cast for Bridgerton's second season, she will be playing Kate Sharma.

According to Shondaland TV, Kate is, "equal parts headstrong and whip smart.

"Her sharp wit and independent nature make her a singular force on the 1814 marriage mart, where she hopes to secure a love match for her younger sister, Edwina."

Charithra Chandran who will play Edwina Sharma

Charithra is a British-Indian actress who is relatively new to the acting industry but has previously starred in IMdb's Alex Rider series.

Now, for Bridgerton season two, she will be playing Edwina Sharma (Kate Sharma's younger sister).

In a statement about the character, Netflix wrote, "Edwina has been taught by her older sister Kate to be the perfect debutante.

"She's kind natured and endlessly endearing. But while she may be young and naive, she also knows what she wants: a true love match."

Shelley Conn who will play Mary Sharma

Shelley has had quite the fruitful acting career and has starred in everything from Silent Witness to, would you believe it, Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

In Bridgerton's second series, she will play Kate Sharma's mother, Mary.

In her Twitter introduction, it was revealed that, "Lady Mary's marriage once embroiled her and her family in scandal.

"Now newly returned to London with her daughters, she's forced to endure the scrutiny of the ton yet again."

Calam Lynch who will be playing Theo Sharp

Calam, who has previously starred in the likes of Dunkirk and Derry Girls, will be starring as Theo Sharpe who, according to Netflix, is "A hardworking printer's assistant.

"But he's not just a working class man, he's also an intellectual who fights for the rights for all."

Rupert Young who will play jack

In the past, Rupert has starred in Doc Martin, Merlin and Doctor Who, among other things. Now, ahead of Bridgerton's second season, he has been cast as Jack.

According to Netflix, Jack is, "The newest member of the ton with a connection to one of its most notable families."
