Netflix is known for its unique original series and films, but did you know it also has a huge back catalogue of incredible classic TV shows? We’ve dug out some of the best TV shows so you don’t have to spend hours hunting for them, with everything from 90s classic, Ab Fab, to Sherlock, there will be something for you to binge-watch.

Call the Midwife – Seasons 1 - 7

This period drama is set in impoverished East London in the 1950s, and follows a newly qualified midwife and her colleagues at a nursing convent.

Fawlty Towers Series 1 - 2

There may have only been 12 episodes of this 70s classic starring John Cleese and Prunella Scales, but it is still a hit now and you can watch it whenever you want on Netflix. Basil Fawlty and his bossy wife try to raise the profile of their Fawlty Towers Hotel, but endless mix-ups arise, leading to farcical lunacy.

Sherlock – Seasons 1 - 4

Benedict Cumberbatch stars in this updated take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's beloved mystery tales. Benedict's modern-day Sherlock is still as eccentric as ever, prowling the streets of London in search of clues with his trusty sidekick Dr Watson.

Only Fools and Horses - Series 1 - 3

London schemer Del Boy, his brother Rodney and their daft grandfather will try anything and everything to leave their working-class life behind. This series ran for 10 years in the 80s and early 90s returning for some specials.

Absolutely Fabulous – Seasons 1 - 5

Whether you enjoyed the antics of Patsy and Edina the first time around or not, it's worth watching this fantastic series. Ab Fab follows the wild lifestyles of friends Patsy and Edina much to Edina's long-suffering daughter's dismay.

Luther – Seasons 1 - 4

Idris Elba plays a dedicated urban detective who tries to keep a grip on his personal life while dealing with the psychological factors underlying the crimes he solves. The series has been nominated for countless awards and Idris has won the highly acclaimed Critics' Choice Television Awards and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor for his role in the show.
