Strictly's Michelle Visage hits back at 'upsetting' claims she's 'clashing' with Giovanni Pernice
Michelle isn't happy!
Strictly Come Dancing is seriously heating up, with the remaining seven celebrities set to light up Blackpool this weekend! After Mike Bushell was finally given the boot last weekend, Michelle Visage, Saffron Barker, Kelvin Fletcher, Emma Barton, Alex Scott, Karim Zeroual and Chris Ramsey are all battling it out for a place in the final.
However, recent reports suggested that RuPaul Drag Race star Michelle and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice were 'clashing', after finding themselves in the bottom two last weekend.
Michelle has now shut down the rumours, taking to her social media accounts to call the reports 'upsetting'.
She wrote, 'The articles about my partner and I have been upsetting. If anyone knows us, you would know how close Giovanni and I are. Gio is my best friend in this competition, he is my rock and I trust him with everything'.
She then added, 'We have the most fun and laughs together and to suggest otherwise is just sad. At this very moment, we are focusing on Blackpool and we are SO excited to share our magical dance with you all ! Thanks for the love and support!' sic
Fans were quick to show their support for the American reality star. One user wrote, 'I knew it would be rubbish! Don’t let the tough week get you down! Rooting for you in Blackpool 🎢💛 #Strictly'. sic
Another added, 'I love your performances and what makes it extra entertaining is yours and Giovanni's unique and real dynamic. sic
A third then wrote, 'Remember what Ru says: don’t read the comments!! You’re doing amazing and your true fans are so proud of you!! Keep up the amazing work!! Love you, Visage ❤️'. sic
Meanwhile, in other Strictly news, seven of this year's celebs have been confirmed for the 2020 live tour!
The tour, which will include 33 shows across January and February, will see judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli return to judge the seven celebrities lined-up, with last year's champion Stacey Dooley hosting the shows.
Check out the full Strictly Come Dancing tour line-up below:
Saffron Barker
Saffron will be paired once again with AJ Pritchard!
Saffron said, "I absolutely love the glitz and the glamour of Strictly and feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity. It's been incredible, so what better way to see in the New Year than in a glittery costume, on tour, dancing for all the fans. Bring it on!"
Emma Barton
Emma is paired with Graziano Di Prima.
Emma said, "I've heard so many amazing things about the live tour from my friends who've done it before. As a performer, nothing compares to being in the moment and actually going out and performing in front of a live audience. I can't wait to do it all over again on tour!"
Mike Bushell
Mike is once again paired up with Katya Jones.
Mike said, "I'm so thrilled to be asked to go on the Strictly tour. I've loved my journey on the TV show and have lost a stone and a half in weight - that shows how good dancing is for you. I think I've shown that even a non-dancing dad in his 50's can learn some moves and hopefully I can inspire people in venues across the country too."
Kelvin Fletcher
Kelvin will be taking to the stage with Janette Manrara.
Kelvin said, "The Strictly experience is really like no other - the training and work that goes into it is immense. I feel like I've really pushed myself, but it's completely worth it. I'm very much looking forward to continuing this adventure on tour next year!"
Alex Scott
Alex is once again paired up with Neil Jones.
Alex said, "I'm really excited for next year's tour - I hope I'll get the chance to perform some of my favourite routines again. Strictly has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I'm thrilled that I'll get to dance for everyone who has voted for me on the TV series."
Catherine Tyldesley
Catherine will be reunited with Johannes Radebe.
Catherine said, "I'm so delighted to be continuing my Strictly journey on the live tour. I have absolutely fallen in love with dancing, so I can't wait to get back on that dance floor and perform for the Strictly fans once more. Roll on January!"
Karim Zeroual
Karim will be taking to the floor once again with Amy Dowden.
Karim said, "Dancing every week is such a buzz and I really love it. Performing live in some of the biggest arenas and meeting all the people who have supported me along the way is going to be an amazing and unforgettable experience."
The Strictly Come Dancing 2020 tour kicks off in Birmingham on the 16th January, before going on to dates in Aberdeen, Leeds, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Nottingham and London throughout January and February.
