McFly are set to open up in new interviews for a one-off special on ITV. Entitled McFly: All About Us, the documentary will see Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Harry Judd speak frankly about the band's 10-year break - and subsequent near-split.

Fans of the band - who released their debut album 'Room on the 3rd Floor' in 2004 - were over the moon when they announced their comeback and upcoming album 'Young Dumb Thrills', but have been aware that things were not right between all four members of the band through the last decade.

Their collective statement on the show - which will air on Saturday 14th November on ITV at 6.40pm - is, "This is the true and open story of our band and our friendship, the challenges we've faced as well as highs we could never have dreamt of and why we’re stronger now than ever."

ITV describe the show as featuring intimate and emotional interviews from the band, who will talk about the formation of supergroup McBusted - as well as the truth behind the break that "until now, they haven’t felt ready to share."

It adds, "With never before seen footage from key moments throughout their career, and refreshingly honest conversations with one another, viewers will be taken inside their journey giving a portrayal of the highs and lows the band has seen professionally and personally."

The show will also feature a special gig filmed at Union Chapel in London, with their families in the audience.

Their album 'Young Dumb Thrills' to be released on 13th November.
