SUCH a good guess

Not going to lie, The Masked Singer is the highlight of our weekends during this cold and gloomy January.

Even though we’ve got a few more weekends before the winner is finally unmasked, viewers think they’ve already worked out who Firework is.

After Firework found themselves in a tense sing off with Lionfish – who was rumbled as singer Will Young - in the most recent Movie themed episode at the weekend, viewers took to social media to suggest that Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona is underneath the mask.

After subtle clues were revealed, including one that suggested that Firework could be an ice skating star, one viewer said: ‘There's many clues that lead to thinking that Firework is Kerry Katona #MaskedSingerUK #maskedsinger.’

Another clue was: “I don’t like waste but I have been guilty of dumping”, which viewers thought had something to do with Kerry’s appearance on Channel 4 show Trash Monsters, where Kerry wore her own rubbish as clothing.

Anoter fan wrote: ‘Just catching up on @MaskedSingerUKfirst singer on #firework is defo @KerryKatona7.

'I'm sure I can hear her accent. Just struggling with the gold medal part but she was athletic as a teen. I remember from interviews she has previously done. Fingers crossed I win this year.'

One more guessed: ‘@MaskedSingerUK fireworks is...KERRY KATONA!!!!! you heard it here first!!!! (sic)’

We’ve still got a long way to go before we find out who is hiding under the weight of the frankly insane costumes, but it doesn’t stop the guesses coming in.

During the first two episodes, some fans already guessed that Take That frontman Gary Barlow could be hiding under the mask of Poodle and that Bagpipes is none other than Love Island voiceover legend Iain Stirling.

The Masked Singer continues on Saturday 15th January on ITV.
