Although the latest series of Married At First Sight UK served up some serious drama, there's no denying the fact the Australian version still has the dramatic edge, with series six proving the perfect entertainment to get us through lockdown 3.0.

After E4 bosses previously said the new series of MAFS Australia would land in the summer, it looks like things have been delayed slightly, but don't panic, the day has finally arrived!

When does Married At First Sight Australia start?

The first episode of series eight will begin on Monday 4th October.

What time is Married At First Sight Australia on?

Check out which Married At First Sight Australia series 6 couples are still together:

Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr, season two

The couple met way back in season two and are still going strong. The pair prefer to remain out of the spotlight and are happily living together in Melbourne.

Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant, season six

Oh, Cameron and Jules. From the minute Jules and Cam had their first wedding dance without any music, we had an inkling they were in it for the long haul. And we were right! The pair now have a baby together, who was born in October last year, and tied the knot properly after the show. So, yes - sometimes this wild experiment does work.

Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, season six

Martha and Michael were an extremely drama free pair (in comparison to everyone else) so it's no shock that they have actually managed to stay together. They are now living together in Sydney whilst becoming full-time influencers. Oh, and they're engaged so they will be tying the knot for real very soon.

Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven, season eight

Despite Bryce repeatedly putting down Melissa's appearance during the show and more dramatic showdowns than we've had hot dinners - the on-off couple are surprisingly stronger then ever. In fact, they're living together, are officially engaged, have matching tattoos and have just welcomed baby twins.

Although series six of MAFS Australia was actually filmed back in 2019, the series had reality TV fans hooked during lockdown at the beginning of the year.

Featuring couples such as Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson, Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, Ning Surasiang and Mark Scrivens and Ines Basic and Bronson Norrish, the series certainly brought drama.

After seeing the success of the Aussie version earlier this year, bosses made the decision to change the format of the UK version, to replicate the success.

Although the current series of the UK version was a lot shorter than the Aussie show, relationship expert Mel Schilling joined the team, and both commitment ceremonies and dinner parties were introduced to the format.

Check out which MAFS UK couples are still together:

Adam and Tayah - ENGAGED

Adam and Tayah proved love at first sight most definitely IS a thing! These two immediately hit it off on their wedding day, with the pair even saying the L word on their honeymoon.

After zero issues throughout the process, viewers were over the moon when Adam proposed to Tayah for real during their final vow renewal.

Since the final episode, Adam and Tayah have been very loved-up on socials, and the couple welcomed their first child together in October 2022, a baby girl called Beau Emily Aveling.

Daniel and Matt - SPLIT

Despite seemingly falling for each other very quickly, Daniel and Matt had their struggles due to Matt living in Leeds and Daniel being from Northern Ireland. The pair remained together during the final vow renewal, and appeared seriously loved-up on social media, even looking to move in together in 2022.

Sadly, Matt and Dan took to their socials in December 2022 to reveal that they had split, admitting that they were better as friends, and that the split was amicable.

Luke and Morag - SPLIT

It's safe to say Luke and Morag didn't get off to the best start during the MAFS process. After Morag confessed she didn't find her husband attractive, the couple struggled with intimacy.

However, by the end of the process, Luke and Morag had seemingly found a spark, with the pair choosing to stay together during the final vow renewal.

Despite this, the pair confirmed during the reunion show they'd split up, with Morag admitting Luke hadn't phoned her since the process ended. However, Luke later said it was because Morag still didn't care for him.

Marilyse and Franky - SPLIT

These two shocked viewers during the final vow renewal when they revealed their true feelings for each other, with Franky even admitting he was ready to move back to the UK from Dubai.

Franky later gushed about his girl on social media, admitting he'd moved to the same town as Marilyse and met her children.

However, on Friday 8th October, the pair both released statements confirmed they'd split. They remain good friends.

Josh and Amy - SPLIT

There's no denying the fact that Josh and Amy had a whirlwind experience during the MAFS experiment. After the pair had initial doubts over their age-gap, the couple experienced a number of fiery arguments and disagreements.

However, by the end of the process the pair seemed closer than ever, with Josh opening up about his feelings towards Amy during the final vow renewal.

The pair have been pretty quiet on social media since the final and during the reunion show they confirmed they are no longer together.

The Married At First Sight UK reunion show will air at 9pm on Monday 4th October, immediately after the first episode of Married At First Sight Australia.
