New Love Island boy Tyrique Hyde is best friends with a former Islander
He's entering the villa next week!
With the brand new series of Love Island hitting our screens on Monday 5th June, excitement is building, especially now we know the first lot of sexy singletons who are entering the villa to find love.
As well as the likes of André Furtado, Mollly Marsh and Ruchee Gurung, 24-year-old semi-professional footballer Tyrique Hyde has been announced for the show, and it turns out he's well acquainted with one former Islander!
That's right! Tyrique is best friends with series seven star Toby Aromolaran, with him telling bosses: "Toby Aromolaran is one of my best friends, we grew up together and were in the same class at school."
Just like Toby, who plays for Hashtag United, Tyrique is a semi-professional footballer who plays for Dartford F.C. Ahead of news of his upcoming appearance on Love Island, Tyrique shared a photo of himself and his team mate on Instagram to mark the end of the season.
He wrote: 'Season done! What a midfield 3 btw lataa🔥'. (sic)
Speaking ahead of his entrance, Tyrique opened up to show bosses about being deaf in one ear.
Admitting the one thing he'd like his fellow Islanders to know, he said: "That I’m deaf in my right ear. I’ve got a tattoo next to my left one that symbolises strength and power in my good one."
Speaking about what he thinks he will bring to the 2023 series, Tyrique added: "I’ll bring vibes, confidence, good energy and honesty. I don’t sit on the fence, if I have an opinion I will speak up. I’m also not afraid to go after what I want."
