There's not been one single episode of Love Island in recent weeks that hasn't left viewers shocked to the core with the amount of drama going down, mainly thanks to the return of Casa Amor.

But after the recent drama between Millie Court and Liam Reardon, and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, it looks like producers are ready to give the Islanders a little bit of rest, in the form of a party!

In recent years viewers have seen the likes of Craig David, Tom Zanetti and Sean Paul enter the villa to spin their tracks for the show's official party, but this year it's been confirmed pop star Mabel will enter the villa.

Announcing the news on social media, Love Island bosses said: 'We called her up 📞 Chart-topping superstar @mabel will be dropping by the villa for our Spotify party next week. She'll be performing her latest hit Let Them Know and loads more, in a one-off gig guaranteed to get the party started and get the Islanders feeling some Mad Love 💚 #LoveIsland'. (sic)

Fans were quick to comment on the news, one wrote: 'Now that’s a guest list I wouldn’t mind being on 🔥', with another adding: YES! Can't wait'.

Other Love Island viewers were quick to joke that Islander Toby Aromolaran would 'crack on' with Mabel, due to his track record on the show so far.

One wrote: 'Oh god, she’s gonna end up coupling with Toby isn’t she 😂', with another joking: 'Guarantee Toby will pull her for a chat! 😂'. (sic)

Mabel herself also commented on the exciting news. Sharing a photo of herself looking fabulous by a pool side, the 'Mad Love' singer wrote: 'Heard that the new bombshell on @loveisland is coming in to LET THEM KNOW 👀 #loveisland'. (sic)

And it sounds like the Islanders thoroughly enjoyed her performance. Speaking in the Beach Hut about Mabel’s performance, Chloe says: “Oh my God. I love Mabel, I actually love her.”

Toby says in the Beach Hut: “Mabel killed the performance! What a party. The dancers brought it.”

Liam also reflects in the Beach Hut on Mabel’s show stopping performance: “We needed someone to lift the moods and Mabel smashed it. She put a smile on everyone’s face. Everyone was dancing and happy.”

Viewers will be able to see Mabel enter the villa during the episode Tuesday 3rd August.

Check out all of the rules the Love Island cast must follow in the villa:

No getting drunk

According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.
Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.

No masturbating

No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.

No nudity

Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.

No books, phones or magazines

The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed.
Same goes for books and magazines, too.

No inappropriate language or behaviour

This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.

No discriminating against staff

Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.

Follow the rule book

Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
