Lorraine viewers were shocked today (Thursday, 28th March) when Line of Duty's Adrian Dunbar, better known as Superintendent Ted Hastings, let slip a few cheeky secrets about the new series.

Speaking to Lorraine about the last episode, Adrian said, "At the end of the last episode of course there was this indication that maybe something was happening with Hastings," before going onto reveal that "it's not looking good for Ted." WOWZA.

"He does come under scrutiny in the new series," he goes onto say.

"That's the way Jed Mercurio writes," he claims.

The popular TV host wasn't one to then hold back, telling Adrian "do you know what if he turns out to be a baddun, that's it then. I can't believe anybody about anything!"

Although the star didn't reveal any more goss on the storyline, he did reveal how co-star Vicky McClure teases him and Martin Compston with the new, unread scripts, saying, "She'll text me and Martin going 'oh my God you’ll never guess whats happening to you in episode two'."

Having us on the edge of our seats since the pilot episode aired in 2012, fans are all geared up and ready for the fifth series of Line of Duty, returning to our screens on Sunday 31st March.
