Killing Eve season four is officially on the way - and after fans got a sneak peek at some first-look pictures just a couple of weeks ago, show bosses have now released an official teaser trailer, revealing some new characters and even giving us a release date.

The fourth and final series of Killing Eve will drop on 27th February 2022, when we will also welcome some new faces to our screens. In the dramatic teaser, we are right back where season three ended with Eve (played by Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer) standing on London’s Tower Bridge.

Carolyn (played by Fiona Shaw) can be heard saying: "Do you ever think what might have happened if we hadn’t done what we did?"

After a quick and dramatic recap of the events of season three, Carolyn then adds: "People like us aren’t made for happy lives with happy endings."

Throughout the teaser, fans may spot two new female characters that are set to feature in season four - with no further details about their characters being released yet.

As well as welcoming the teaser trailer with open arms, fans were overjoyed when show bosses revealed that the new series will be with us in just two months time, with series four landing on 27th February 2022.

Taking to the show's official Instagram to announce the news, bosses simply captioned the post: 'Two months.'

It was confirmed back in March 2021 that series four of Killing Eve would in fact be the last. BBC announced the news on Twitter, revealing that 'The Final Season' will be 'worth the wait'.
