The campmates schedule sounded exhausting!

Last week, Giovanna Fletcher, better known as ‘Mama G’ in camp, was crowned the first Queen of the Castle in the I’m A Celebrity Final 2020.

In a normal year, I’m A Celeb, the campmates would be on a different time zone to us at home watching the show. This meant that in a typical year the live show would be around 7am for the contestants.

This year due to filming in Wales and having to factor in the shows average broadcast time between 9 – 10:30pm, the campmates had to adapt and do pretty much everything in the night-time following the result being delivered to camp on who had been voted to do the trail or the live evictions each evening. The campmates didn't get to bed until 4am at the earliest!

Giovanna has revealed on her Instagram the draining schedule for this year’s celebs and how it is still affecting the Queen of the Castle a week later.

In a post to her 1.9 million followers, Giovanna shared a screenshot of her alarm clock on her phone, she said, “Accidentally took this picture this morning but it sums things up nicely... I feel oddly jetlagged (we weren’t going to bed until 4-6am in the castle) and now I’m back in the real world we need to set an alarm for the first time in 6 years. 😂🙈don’t worry, the kids are still early risers 🥴 but they catch us out every now and then, causing a massive rush for toast, uniforms and the door! Xx"

The post attracted a lot of comments from shocked fans who were confused trying to figure out the campmates sleeping pattern and more importantly what time they finally sat down to prepare their dinner.

One fan commented " I was trying to work out what your day looked like because of timings and it always looked dark when you were doing activities! No wonder you feel jet lagged!X"

Another added " Me and my friend were trying to work out what you must have gone to bed because the trails were after the vote!! Wow. 6am. Wha time did you eat dinner??? X"

How much did this year's I'm A Celeb contestants get paid?

Sir Mo Farah: £300,000

With all of his amazing success in the sporting world, it's no surprise Sir Mo Farah cost bosses the most to land on the 2020 series.

He is an Olympian after all!

Vernon Kay: £250,000

Bosses have reportedly been trying to get TV host Vernon on the show for a number of years, but this year they managed to entice him with a whopping pay cheque.

Beverley Callard: £150,000

Coronation Street legend Beverley is reportedly the highest paid woman on this year's series, and it's not a bad little (big) figure either!

Shane Richie: Unknown

Despite Shane's I'm A Celeb fee not being made public, the former EastEnders actor confessed he was 'broke' after a tough 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Russell Watson: £100,000

He was a late arrival into this year's series, but tenor Russell is still getting paid VERY well. The opera legend is reportedly picking up £100K for his stint.

Jessica Plummer: £75,000

Bosses reportedly enticed EastEnders actress Jessica into the Welsh castle with a tasty £75,000.

Giovanna Fletcher: Unknown

Ruthie Henshall: £75,000

She was a late arrival alongside Russell Watson, but already she's had her fair share of trials and secret missions! The West End star and Magic at the Musicals host was reportedly paid a lovely £75,000.

AJ Pritchard: £50,000

After quitting his former role as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year, AJ is reportedly taking home £50K for his appearance in the castle.

Jordan North: Unknown

Hollie Arnold MBE: £50,000

She's used to winning Gold medals not Gold stars, but a fee of £50,000 reportedly got Hollie Arnold MBE into the castle! And after showing off her amazing singing voice, maybe she will leave with a record deal on the table too!

Victoria Derbyshire: Unknown

During the show, Ant and Dec would answer questions from fans on Twitter, they had many questions about this year’s camp and previously revealed that the campmates are asleep until ‘around midday’ - which is no surprise if they are up until that time winning stars for camp!

A special hour long episode, A Castle Story, airs on ITV at 8pm on Sunday (13th December) and will give us a sneak peak in to what the celebs got up to after leaving Gwrych Castle.

The show will include unseen footage from camp, so hopefully we will find out more about the campmates exhausting schedule!
