Ant and Dec clarify rules over Charlene's I'm A Celeb sleeping arrangements

Viewers were left unhappy over Charlene's actions

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here fans have been left annoyed and frustrated with Charlene White this week, after the Loose Women star refused to sleep in the RV alongside camp leader Matt Hancock.

After Matt was voted leader and he chose Charlene as his deputy, the rules seemed to state that the pair would have to sleep in the RV, which is fitted with proper beds and quilts, unlike the usual camp beds.

But after spotting some pretty large spiders in the bed on the first night, Charlene has so far refused, meaning the rest of the camp are having to deal with hammocks.

Viewers have been complaining about Charlene's 'rule break', with many asking hosts Ant and Dec why she's not been punished.

Well, the boys have now set the record straight, revealing the rules didn't say camp mates 'HAD' to stay in the RV.

They wrote on Twitter: 'The rules said that only the leader and deputy are allowed to stay in the RV, it didn’t state they HAD to… #ImACeleb'. (sic)

Despite their explanation, it appears some viewers still aren't happy with Charlene's sleeping arrangements.

One wrote: 'Hmmm… I think that’s just an excuse being made on her behalf. Campmates have always suffered when they haven’t done what they’ve been told, makes it way more interesting and fun to watch.' (sic)

Another pointed out: 'The rules said only the leader can sit in the red chair, Owen made himself pretty comfy in it yesterday ? Rules seem a little lax this year, and you definitely help them way too much with the stars, let them struggle and starve, when their hungry they are more entertaining 😁'. (sic)

A third then added: 'She should definitely be penalised for not sleeping in there!! Not fair to others!!!!!!!'. (sic)
