We all know Ian Beale is a big earner in Walford, but fans were shocked to discover just how rich the chippy owner really is.

The character's earnings were finally revealed during an episode this week, in which his bank details were visible and showed that he'd earned almost £10,000 for the month.

Ian - whose character is played by Adam Woodyatt - also boasted a closing balance of almost £72,000.

The Albert Square resident owns the chip shop, the cafe and now a restaurant, which explains his high earnings...kind of.

But that didn't stop eagle-eyed viewers from going into overdrive after making the discovery on social media.
