Hollyoaks Christmas spoilers: Edward Hutchinson reveals Diane is dead

There’s never a dull moment on Hollyoaks and this Christmas is no different as Edward Hutchinson reveals the devastating news – Diane Hutchinson is dead.

Edward has been causing drama between Tony and Diane Hutchinson ever since Tony was freed from Breda McQueen's kidnapping trauma.

He's been secretly drugging his son, plotting to get him to divorce Diane and has slowly been morphing his girlfriend/daughter-in-law into his late wife.

However during the run up to Christmas things come to a climax and he reveals some devastating news - how will Tony react and what has Edward done?

Edward reveals Diane is dead

It all begins with Tony trying to figure out where his life went so wrong, meanwhile Edward plans to make sure his son never sees his family again. Tony refuses to give up without a fight but is floored when his dad reveals Diane is dead. Edward doesn’t stop there though and has one final killer plan up his sleeve…

Meanwhile, division continues between Sienna Blake and Liberty Savage, Silas Blissett plans to kidnap his grandson Bobby and Felix Westwood plots to make sure Toby Faroe pays for his crimes.

Plus Luke Morgan goes to drastic measures and Christmas at the Maaliks leaves Tom Cunningham feeling insecure.

Hollyoaks spoilers: Monday 21 December – Wednesday 23 December 2020

While Tony tries to work out where and why his life went so wrong, Edward plots to make sure his son never sees his family again.

Edward later backs his son into a corner and forms a menacing plan… They following day he reveals that Diane is dead.

As the net closes in on Edward, he makes one last play for victory over Tony – by poisoning him.

Meanwhile, Sienna and Liberty are still at odds over baby Faith and Brody Hudson is stuck in the middle.

Brody suggests he and Sienna co-parent with Liberty but it doesn't go down well.

Sienna refuses to accept that she'll have to share Faith and ends up falling back into Warren Fox's bed... When Liberty spots her sister and Warren kissing in public, she's quick to tell Brody.

The McQueens continue to try and figure out who is behind their blackmail nightmare.

Silas is disguised as Santa and plans to lure his great-grandson Bobby back into the village and kidnap him.

While Mercedes is excited about bringing Bobby home for New Year's Eve, she's completely unaware of Silas's kidnap plot and the deceit of those around her.

Goldie McQueen has some explaining to do when she's the next to be accused of being the blackmailer's mole.

Martine Deveraux is sad about Mitchell Deveraux not being with them for Christmas.

Celeste Faroe tries to increase the family's Christmas spirit with festive drinks at the Bazaar, but Felix still plans to make sure Toby pays for his crimes.


Cindy Cunningham is full steam ahead with her Christmas Day plans but when drug addict Ollie asks if he can borrow money for Christmas present – she refuses.

Ollie then asks Brody for a hand out… When the teenager sneaks out to buy more drugs on Christmas Day, Luke takes drastic action, leaving Cindy and Ollie stunned.

Tom spends Christmas with the Maaliks but when Imran embarrasses Yazz by show her fiancée her childhood 'dream wedding' scrap book as a joke present, it leaves Tom feeling a little insecure that he might not be her dream man.

Before any of the above, here's what's happening during the week before Christmas on Hollyoaks...

Liberty Savage has been haunted by Nico Blake, Sienna's daughter who died in 2018, for weeks but it looks like she'll be taking things a step too far.

It all begins when Liberty realises that baby Faith is too hot and wants to take her to the hospital but 'Nico' ends up convincing her not to get her little one help - leaving the baby's life is in danger.

Elsewhere the blackmailer continues their reign of terror over the McQueens but it's not long before they drive a wedge between Mercedes and Sylver McQueen... But the end of the week, we'll be left guessing if she spent the night with Warren Fox.

Toby Faroe continues to revel is taking Mitchell Deveraux's place in the family and Imran Maalik and Brooke Hathaway hit a rough patch.

Hollyoaks is on Monday - Thursday at 6:30pm on Channel 4 and at 7pm on E4. They'll also be airing a Hollyoaks Favourites episode every Friday at 6:30pm on Channel 4.
