The week begins with Yasmine Maalik doing some digging on Edward Hutchinson's mysterious past. After discovering something shocking she rushes to inform Finn and tells him that Diane Hutchinson isn't safe.

When Finn shows his mum the news coverage about her father-on-law, she left fuming but also concerned. Later after confronting him, Edward agrees he'll explain everything when he's alone with Diane.

Edward then gives Yazz a pen drive of the news coverage from Finn's rape case and tells her to read that instead of looking at his past…

Edward meets up with Sally St. Claire and it soon becomes clear why she's so nervous when a taxi arrives and John Paul steps out.

He's eager to know what the emergency is and is floored when they explain they need help getting rid of Finn from the village…

James is shocked when he sees John Paul and after a catch up and a drink, James asks whether he's tempted to speak to Finn.

It soon becomes clear that he is when he knocks at the Hutchinson's – leaving Diane and Finn floored. What will happen when John Paul and Finn come face to face?

Later, John Paul returns to Singapore but not before telling Sally that once he has sorted everything else out there, he'll return to the village.

Nancy Osborne invites Diane out for a drink at The Dog's quiz night to mend their friendship but when Edward tries to get an invite, Nancy insists it should just be a girl's night.

A scored Edward refuses to take no as an answer and decides to invite Jack Osborne to the pub quiz so he can keep a jealous eye on his daughter-in-law.

Over to the McQueen household and Bobby Costello is left devastated when he finds out Sylver McQueen has been charged with shooting his mum.

While Breda reassures Bobby that no one will be able to hurt his mum again, Mercedes worries that the real shooter is out there – after lying about Sylver.

Things then turn sinister when someone delivers a threatening letter to Mercedes… Grace Black begs Sami to do everything he possibly can to get Sylver free as she's never seen him as low as he is in prison.

Mercedes tells Breda that someone is trying to scare her but Breda reassures her that Sylver is in prison before telling her to get herself together because they've got the quiz event.

Although Mercedes' worries have gone unheard she's right to be fearful because someone watches her from afar… The next day she's haunted by the horrific night she was shot.

She then begins to doubt herself and wonders whether she should change her statement about Sylver but Breda questions why she would do that when he's guilty…

Breda then encourages Mercedes to use the pub quiz as a way to show the rest of the village that she won't be beaten.

Meanwhile at the prison, Sami reveals they're waiting for a report on some blood that was left on The Loft door, but Sylver is sure that there's no way it could be his.

After receiving the results Grace confronts Mercedes in front of everyone, while Diane looks on sheepishly… Breda then questions whether Mercedes has false memories from that night but she swears she saw Sylver pull the trigger.

Following her recent choice, Juliet is back in Imran Maalik and Ollie Morgan's good books but Sid is left feeling rejected. He decides to ask his cousin Jordan for drugs but when he can't deliver he turns to Liam Donovan.

Juliet apologises to Sid for dropping him out and invites him back to her house. While there she offers him a drink but he goes a step further and offers her drugs…

James and Liam share a drink in The Loft but it quickly becomes that James has an ulterior motive when he asks for the same drugs Sid bought yesterday. Liam suspects he's being set up but James plays the sympathy card – he's lost Harry Thompson and just wants to forget.

Liam relates – after losing Eva – and says he'll arrange to get some drugs for James. Elsewhere Romeo worries that James is putting their family in danger and begs him to forget Liam so they can have a perfect Christmas – one he and Juliet are yet to have.

Later, James and Liam bump into each other in the village but the latter is dressed up as Krampus for his new club night promotion.

Marnie is left devastated when she sees the negative press coverage about her grand opening for her new patisserie. However Romeo steps in to save the day with a social media campaign.

While Romeo tries to encourage customers to come through the door, Marnie reckons she's inspired the rest of the village to speak French including Goldie McQueen.

Jesse and Courtney are eager to find out about Toby Faroe's plans to re-brand the salon; especially after he teases that a very well-known model friend of his could be Jesse's next client.

Toby urges Jesse to be discrete, but Jesse is left in a flurry because he's already teased the news online. The next day Jesse is the left nervous about his big break at the salon.
