She's been on the soap since the age of nine, so it's no surprise actress Helen Flangan is keen to return to Coronation Street after her maternity leave is over.

Helen, who shares two children with Celtic footballer Scott Sinclair, appeared on Lorraine this morning (Wednesday 8th May) to discuss recent rumours that bosses want her back after seven stars QUIT the show in just three months.

Now that she lives in Glasgow with her fiancé Scott and her two daughters, Helen revealed she's 'definitely' going back to the soap, "but it's just working around my girls."

She said, "I miss Coronation Street so much, and I definitely am going to go back. Definitely.

"Matilda's at the age where she's 4 and she's doing all of her... she needs to be taken to her lessons and what have you. And obviously with me living in Scotland, it's a four-hour drive. And Delilah's nearly 1. But I just love it so much. I've been there since I was 9."

Helen also spoke about her Corrie family, admitting how much she misses the cast. She added, "I really miss Sally so much, and I miss Brooke and she's having a baby now. It's just amazing... She will be the best mum. She'll be an amazing mum."

The news comes after Corrie bosses were apparently forced to hold 'crisis talks' after seven major stars quit in just three months, including Lucy Fallon, Faye Brooks and Kym Marsh.

A insider revealed, “They’re keen for Helen to sign after maternity leave. But producers will not budge on the gruelling schedule, and will continue the shock ‘modern’ storylines, even if they risk alienating older viewers.”
