Heartstopper is the brand new coming-of-age Netflix series about teenagers, gentle Charlie and rugby-loving Nick, played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor. So, with the TV show fast becoming a Netflix fave, we thought we'd get the boys in to ask them all the important questions.

Answering questions tweeted by fans, Kit, who plays the role of bisexual teenager Nick Nelson, said that the character was an "extremely special character" to him. He went on to say: "I think there's not enough bisexual representation in mainstream media, or really any kind of media.

"I think that especially male bisexual characters, is an extremely under-represented kind of character and I feel like it's a real pleasure to be able to bring that to the screen."

After reading a question about Heartstopper bloopers, interviews and playing with puppies, Joe recounted a time he got caught up in his top during a sports scene, reenacting the moment for us, with his arms flailing in the air.

Kit then told us about a scene with Tara, played by Corinna Brown, where she says: "Kissing you is how I found out I was gay." Kit then ad libbed saying "Ouch!" leaving the cast and crew in stitches.

During the interview, Kit also confirmed he WAS in Rocketman. "Yeah, I was in Rocketman," he said: "And now I am in Heartstopper. The thing is, I think a lot of people are shocked by that, because I had a really, really serious baby face. So when I was in Rocketman I looked about 12, but I was actually about 15."

Heartstopper is based on the graphic novel of the same name, and follows teenage friends Nick and Charlie who have an unlikely friendship, with very different circles of friends.

Heartstopper series one is available to stream now on Netflix.
