He will appear in a special episode this Summer
Last updated 6th May 2021
After his successful stint on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here back in 2018, former football manager Harry Redknapp has become somewhat of a TV icon, featuring on other popular shows alongside his son Jamie and his wife Sandra.
Well, Harry is now adding another show to his CV, in the form of BBC soap EastEnders!
BBC bosses have announced that Harry will make a special cameo appearance on the soap this Summer, to coincide with the European Championships which have been rescheduled from 2020.
Harry said: "It’s no secret that I’ve wanted to be in EastEnders so I’m over the moon to be making a special cameo this summer. With a nod to the Euros, it’s a lovely fit and as a proper East Londoner it’s been so much fun. Sandra’s a huge fan, she watches it every day so it’s a real special moment for the whole family!”
Jon Sen, Executive Producer at EastEnders added: “What better way to mark a special summer for football fans by having none other than West Ham legend Harry Redknapp pay a visit to Walford. He’s synonymous with London’s East End and we were delighted to hear he’s a fan of the show too. We can’t wait for audiences to see what brings Harry to Albert Square.”
Now check out all of the TV shows we can't wait for the return of:
Since his retirement from football management in 2017, Harry has delved into the TV world, winning the 2018 series of I'm A Celebrity. As well as appearances on Celebrity Gogglebox and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Harry has also hosted his own shows, such as Harry Redknapp's Sandbanks Summer and Harry's Heroes.
Although bosses haven't confirmed an exact date of when Harry will appear in Walford, we expect it to be in the coming months.
