Did Game of Thrones secretly hint who wins the Iron Throne way back in season one?

As we now know after the finale on Monday 20th May, it wasn't Daenerys Targaryen OR Jon Snow AKA Aegon Targaryen who ended up on the Iron Throne... It was actually Jon's brother/cousin, Bran, AKA the Three Eyed Raven.

And Twitter user ForWhomTheBellTweets made an incredible revelation after the finale aired, sharing a poster from season one which featured Eddard 'Ned' Stark, who was played by Sean Bean, revealing that show bosses could have been hinting about Bran's future since season one.

They added the caption, 'Anyone else just notice the raven on Ned’s right from the season one poster??? Raven + Ned Stark on the Iron Throne = Bran Stark. It was in front of us THE WHOLE TIME.'

Fans, obviously, went absolutely mad for the potential realisation about Bran's future, with many simply commenting on the tweet saying, 'Wow', and another adding, 'Interesting for sure. After the show goes off... we get it now. Ha!'

Although Bran only became the Three Eyed Raven in season 6, author of the book series George R. R. Martin will have no doubt been aware of Bran's future, and will have told showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss so that they could work little twists and turns into the series.
