We've seen quite a lot of soap stars crossover to other shows but the latest is EastEnders actor Ned Porteous.
Ned, who played Mark Fowler Junior in Walford, is joining the Emmerdale cast and his on-screen character Tom Waterhouse is set to cause some drama in the village.
Emmerdale's producer Iain MacLeod previously teased fans about the new characters. On Emmerdale's Instagram story, he explained: "I can reveal that it's not a Dingle actually, but it's connected to the Dingle family in a way that I think people will find really interesting.
"He is going to be sexy and dangerous and one of our characters is going to get their heart trampled on."
Eek!
And by the sounds of things it's either Debbie or Charity Dingle who could get their hearts broken when newbies Tom and his right-hand man Graham Foster, who is played by Andrew Scarborough, head into the Dales.
It all kicks off after Charity reveals she's got a new business client but Debbie insists that she'll be the one to meet him. It's not long before the mother and daughter go head to head to woo the client and even though Charity arrives all glammed up to meet Graham, Debbie isn't far behind.
Luckily, Debbie makes a great first impression and it seems that everything is going her way until they leave the hotel… Debbie begins to panic at the events that unfold as the deal is crucial to keep her business afloat – but what has she gotten herself into?
Ned has spoken about his upcoming role and said: "I was really delighted to secure the role of Tom. I’ve never played a character like this before and I am very excited to see how his story develops!"
Andrew added: "Graham is an interesting guy. He’s a bit enigmatic but he definitely has hidden depths, which I can’t wait to explore and he’s fiercely loyal to his boss Tom. I see Graham as a man a little like Alfred, the butler in Batman."
The new duo will arrive in the Dales in September.
