CHECK OUT: Emmerdale spoilers Monday 19 - Friday 23 October

Belle returns home from her night at the station and the Dingles start to speculate about who the new witness could be.

But with everything going on, Belle has fallen behind on her meds and as Sam urges her to take them, Nate is shocked to learn of her history of schizophrenia.

Later on, Cain and Moira bump into Jamie and as Cain confronts him things escalate and Moira has to stop him from hitting him.

Insisting that Jamie will have left some evidence, Moira and Cain plan to break into Home Farm to find it and clear Belle's name.

But soon the Dingles realise that Jamie seems to have cottoned onto their plan and are at a loss for what move to make next.

The situation seems hopeless until Nate, concerned for Belle's mental health, offers to take the rap for the hit and run instead.

But when Tracy finds out that Nate is willing to go to prison for Belle despite expecting a child with her she's furious, and Nate is conflicted.

Cain drives Nate to the police station in Hotten but as they pull up outside Nate struggles to muster the courage to confess to the crime.

Elsewhere, Mandy is struggling to get the cash together for a bigger share in the salon and worries that Leyla will outbid her.

But Paul has his own money worries to think about after getting brave after a big win and gambling away all his winnings and then some.

Paul is desperate to keep his gambling a secret from everyone but Vinny has his suspicions and goes to meet Paul at the scrapyard to confront him.

But to Vinny's horror Paul is furious that Vinny has found out and launches into a tirade, eventually turning violent and leaving Vinny battered and bruised.

Later on when Mandy finds her son injured she's worried he's been up to no good, but will Vinny tell her about Paul's angry outburst?

At the garage, Dan feigns positivity and insists he's fit to work but later on gets trapped under a car and is unable to pull himself up.

After being helped by Cain, Dan is forced to admit defeat but back at home he panics when he receives a letter saying his benefit claim has been rejected.

He's been trying to keep a brave face for Amelia but now with no money coming in is it time to be honest with his daughter?

Gabby has been smashing her internship at Take A Vow and impresses Leyla with how she takes charge in a client crisis.

But when Gabby mentions she's planning on quitting uni to focus on the job full time, Leyla reminds her it's only temporary and Laurel makes it clear she doesn't support the decision.

Later on a glum Gabby spots Liam out for a drink with Meena and soon the cogs start turning as she debates what to do with this information.

After some light stirring, Liam is confused about why Leyla is in a mood with him but soon it's Gabby who's left regretting her actions.

Elsewhere, Harriet finally returns to the village and is shocked to hear the news of Dawn's disappearance.

But first, here's everything coming up this week on Emmerdale...

Last week we saw Dawn Taylor sink to new lows when, in a bid to get Billy Fletcher to fall out of love with her, she slept with his brother Elliot Chapman.

While Dawn is adamant she had no choice and it was the only way to stop him from finding out about Malone, soon she realises the gravity of what she's done and makes plans to leave the village for good.

Belle returns from her night at the station

Elsewhere, Charity Dingle is feeling glum with Vanessa Woodfield away at her mum's fighting bowel cancer, but Rhona Goskirk and Tracy Metcalfe have a surprise for her.

The race is on between Mandy Dingle and Leyla Harding for the salon and while Mandy wants to get the money off Paul, Leyla has other ideas...
