For weeks, someone has been poisoning Kim Tate and after cottoning on last week, she's determined to catch them out in the best way next week on Emmerdale.

With her annual formal luncheon coming up, scheming Kim concocts a sinister plan to trap her poisoner.

Has Eric Pollard made his choice?

Elsewhere, Ryan Stocks wants Mackenzie Boyd to do the right thing when he catches him meddling in Eric Pollard's business, but his pleas fall on deaf ears and soon Pollard is in grave danger.

With Bernice Blackstock back in town, Liam Cavanagh wants to establish some ground rules but precocious Bernice is quick to tread on Leyla Harding's toes.

CHECK OUT: Emmerdale spoilers Monday 31 May - Friday 4 June:

After cottoning on that someone has been trying to poison her, Kim devises a plan to identify the culprit. Keeping up the charade that she's under the influence, Kim woozily invites Will and others over for her annual formal luncheon.

With the prime suspects all gathered at Kim's house for the formalities, Kim makes the announcement that she's retiring from the business and is looking for someone to take over. As the bickering commences, Kim launches into the part of the plan designed to trick the culprit into exposing themselves.

Elsewhere, Ryan has caught Mack red handed with Val's old coat, which he knows is an important keepsake for Pollard. With Mack using Pollard's barn for his cases, Ryan implores him to do the right thing but is disappointed when Mack seems not to heed his advice.

The next day, arrogant Mack has an offer of an exchange for Pollard - he'll return the stolen coat, in exchange for Aaron's freedom.

Pollard is shocked by the audacity and launches into telling Mack what's what but is quickly caught by an angina attack and falls to the ground, clutching his chest. What will Mack do?

Hopeful that she might be able to rekindle things with Pollard, Faith rushes to the hospital to see him as soon as she hears about his attack. But afterward in the corridor, Faith runs into Brenda and defeatedly admits that upon coming round, Pollard immediately asked for Brenda.

Victoria is excited to take the next step with Luke - she's going to ask him to move in with her. But Elliot soon learns what Luke's been hiding and decides to speak to Wendy, who begs Luke to be honest with her, assuring him she'll support him.

With Bernice back on the scene, Liam wants to meet on neutral ground to discuss how they can co-exist in the village together without stepping on each others' toes. Liam refuses when Bernice tries to give her ring back.

Dropping the ring, Bernice crouches down to pick it up but Leyla sees the whole thing from afar and, getting the wrong end of the stick, thinks that Bernice is proposing to Liam! Seeing red, Leyla storms over and gives Bernice a hearty slap round the face.

Following her run-in with Leyla and Liam, Bernice tells Nicola and Diane that she's convinced Liam still holds a candle for her. Later in the pub, Bernice is 'innocently' catching up with Liam but things quickly turn awkward when Leyla turns up and catches them together again.

But first, here's everything coming up on Emmerdale this week...

Liam Cavanagh has only recently got engaged to Leyla Harding, and so no one is more surprised than him when his ex, Bernice Blackstock shows up back in the village.

Well, except for her daughter, Gabby Thomas.

What does she want?

Leyla Harding sees red

Meanwhile, Gabby Thomas is at her wit's end with Kim Tate bossing her about, but she's not the only one as Jamie Tate vows to get revenge on his mother. Dawn Taylor warns Will Taylor that if he doesn't do something about her, she will.

Lydia Hart is the victim of online trolling after rumours of her 'pension scheme' spread but when things move into the real world, Sam and Samson Dingle are at loggerheads over what to do about it.

Liv Flaherty comes face to face with her mum Sandra and her bottle of vodka, Tracy Metcalfe is asleep on her feet and Kim Tate's paranoia reaches fever pitch.
