He's made up his mind
Following the freak accident which resulted in the villainous Paul Ashdale's death, when the barn he was due to marry Mandy Dingle at blew up, Jimmy King has decided to plead guilty to death by dangerous driving.
While Mandy assures Jimmy that when it comes to the charge and ensuing custody battle with his ex Juliette Holliday, he's got to do right by their son, Carl.
But how will his wife Nicola King take the news?

As tensions between Eric Pollard, Brenda Walker and Faith Dingle continue to simmer, Aaron Dingle is determined to put things right.
The question is, will he be able to convince Mackenzie Boyd of the same?
CHECK OUT: Emmerdale Monday 10 - Friday 14 May:
With Brenda's brooch still missing, accusations continue to fly at Faith and despite Pollard insisting he's only got eyes for her, Brenda tells him that as long as Faith is still around, she can't continue with their relationship.
While Faith furiously denies any involvement and insists upon her innocence, Aaron can't help but overhear and, knowing the truth - that Mackenzie is behind the theft – vows to put things right.
Full of resolve, Aaron pays a visit to Butler's and tells Mack it's time to return the brooch - but when Mack refuses, Aaron hatches a plan to steal it back from him. Breaking into Pollard's Barn that night to return to the jewellery, Aaron is caught red-handed when a none-the-wiser Pollard whacks the intruder over the head with a cricket bat!
Elsewhere, Jimmy confides in Mandy all about his relationship troubles with Nicola and admits the trial is putting a huge strain on their marriage. A sympathetic Mandy tells Jimmy that when it comes to the impending custody battle, he has to do what's best for Carl.
Back at home, Jimmy makes a call to Juliette and invites her over to discuss their options when it comes to Carl's future. Nicola can't believe Jimmy's change of attitude, and when Jimmy suggests Juliette spend some time with Carl to see if she can get him to open up, Nicola is left feeling sidelined.
After Juliette's visit, Jimmy breaks the news to Nicola that he's going to plead guilty to the charge of death by dangerous driving. While Nicola struggles to comprehend a life without Jimmy, he evades talking to her about it.
Over at Mill Cottage, Vinny opens up to Liv about his counselling and admits that it seems to be opening up more questions than giving answers. Liv immediately stiffens and Vinny is left wondering what's triggered her.
It's the day of baby Frankie's christening and after her conversation with Vinny, Liv is on edge. As people mingle after the ceremony, Liv swipes some vodka and drinks it alone.
It's not only Liv who's edgy at the christening, with tensions between the Dingles and Pollard and Tracy bristling. Sick of the atmosphere, Tracy asks Pollard to take her home.
