ITV boss reveals when Emmerdale and Corrie episodes will run out
Filming was suspended in March
Back in March, when Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced lockdown plans, soaps across the country, including the likes of Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and EastEnders, were forced to stop filming to adhere to social distancing rules.
Many revealed they would be airing to reduced schedules, with Hollyoaks even going down to two new episodes per week, but now it looks like they are about to run out!
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, ITV boss Kevin Lygo revealed if filming doesn't resume in the coming weeks, Emmerdale will run out of episodes by the end of May, with Corrie following closely behind in June.

When is EastEnders on TV?
EastEnders bosses announced episodes have dropped to just two per week.
Mondays: 8pm
Tuesdays: 7.30pm
When is Emmerdale on TV?
Emmerdale have suspended filming and episodes have dropped to three per week.
Monday: 7pm
Wednesday: 7pm
Friday 7pm
When is Coronation Street on TV?
Corrie has also been dropped to three episodes per week, with filming on the soap also now suspended.
Monday: 7.30pm
Wednesday: 7.30pm
Friday: 7.30pm
When is Hollyoaks on TV?
The cast of Hollyoaks have been expressing their sadness that filming has been temporarily suspended, with the show also going down to three episodes per week.
Monday: 6.30pm
Tuesday: 6.30pm
Wednesday 6.30pm
However, Hollyoaks bosses announced they will be showing 'classic' Hollyoaks episodes on E4 on both Thursday and Friday, calling it 'Hollyoaks Favourites'.
Introduced by Kieron Richardson and Jorgie Porter, this series will give viewers a chance to revisit some of our biggest episodes, from weddings, bust-ups, heartbreaks and some of the biggest and best stunts from the last 25 years.
Kevin also seemed to reveal that some of the older cast members would have longer off work, with him saying, "I don't want Ken Barlow to get sick."
Don't worry though, it sounds like soap bosses do have plans in place to allow for some form of filming when the lockdown rules begin to lift.
Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley, who plays the role of Cain Dingle on the show, appeared on This Morning on Thursday 30th April, where he revealed the UK soaps could follow in the footsteps of Australian soaps Neighbors and Home and Away.
Filming resumed on Neighbors last week in Australia, with Jeff telling hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, "I think we would be following the model they've done over in Australia and that's how we would proceed if we were to go back. Most definitely."
Of course, at this time there's no official date for the soaps to resume filming.
