She'll be back

Emmerdale fans were left rubbing their hands together with glee over the news that Dales supervillain Kim Tate would be returning to the soap last year. Although she was only back on the show very briefly due to actress Claire King's other commitments, she managed to cause quite a bit of chaos - i.e ordering Graham Foster to bump off her step-grandson, Joe Tate.

Sadly, we all know what happened there - before Graham could get to him, he witnessed Joe's father-in-law-to-be Cain Dingle punch him to the ground, with Joe knocking his head on a rock and being presumed dead.

And now, back to bask in the chaos she's caused, Kim Tate will be returning to Emmerdale, as Claire has revealed on Twitter that she will be back on-screen towards the end of February and the beginning of March this year.

Responding to a fan tweet which asked whether Kim would be coming back after her brief yet explosive stint last October, Kim wrote, 'On screen end Feb/beginning of March x.'

The Dingle sisters know that someone needs to confront Cain. It's Charity who draws the short straw, and when she arrives at Home Farm, she's shocked at the state of the house and of him.

She also confirmed that she was starting to film her scenes in January, as another fan replied to the first tweet, writing, 'Oh we all thought you were back January, still a bit of a wait then but it will be worth it', sic as Claire replied, 'I’m back filming in Jan!'

Others were over the moon to hear that Kim would be back very soon, as one wrote, 'Emmerdale needs iconic characters and they really hit the mark with Kim' and another added, 'Can't wait!'

Although there's no official word from Emmerdale on Kim's return to the soap, we can pretty much take it as a given, considering Claire has said it herself!

Emmerdale airs every weeknight at 7pm on ITV, with a second showing on Tuesday nights at 8pm.
