Emmerdale have announced who will be taking over the role of Ellis Chapman after Asan N'Jie was sacked from the soap following his brawl with Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards 2019.
Aaron Anthony will be taking over the role of Ellis Chapman, as the character will return in December. Following Ellis' brief departure where he went to Dubai to work at his mum Jessie's school as a PE assistant, he'll be returning to the soap next month.
Of joining the soap, Aaron said, "Emmerdale is a cracking show with a brilliant cast that I'm over the moon to now be a part of. I know Ellis is a well loved character and I'm looking forward to continuing his journey and all that's in store for him."
Aaron's previous roles have included Adam Hesketh in Delicious, Doctors as Nathan Westwood and a small role in Holby City.

Asan was let go from Emmerdale after he reportedly threatened to stab fellow soap star Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards in September, and was apparently escorted out of the venue after trying to throw punches.
Asan released a statement of apology after the event, which read, 'My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
'I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards. I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.'
