EastEnders spoilers: Mel and Hunter Owen prepare to flee the Square

Tension rises in EastEnders next week and it all kicks off with Mel and Hunter Owen. Mel has been guilt-ridden since her son Hunter Owen killed her husband Ray Kelly after he tried to strangle her.
She recently discovered that her son kept the gun he used to kill his step-dad and next week, things are set to get even more dramatic when she prepares to come clean to the police. She then does a complete U-turn and plans to flee the Square – will they get away in time?
Meanwhile on the Square, Ruby Allen shares some harsh words with Jay Brown but after the pair kiss and make up they head out on a double date with Stacey and Martin Fowler.
Also Jean Slater ends things with Ian Beale, Mo Slater loses Tommy Moon, Keanu Taylor has words with Sharon Mitchell, Masood Ahmed has surprising news and Kathy Beale returns to the Square.

Mel Owen prepares to reveal all to the police
The week begins with Mel still struggling after her son killed her husband. She concludes that enough is enough and decides to tell the police everything. After writing down everything that happened on New Year's Day, she tries to reassure Hunter it's for the best.
Later on she begins to worry when she can't find her son.

Ian is later shocked when his mum reveals she's in a relationship with Masood.
Mel Owen prepares to reveal all to the police
The week begins with Mel still struggling after her son killed her husband. She concludes that enough is enough and decides to tell the police everything. After writing down everything that happened on New Year's Day, she tries to reassure Hunter it's for the best.
Later on she begins to worry when she can't find her son.
Mel Owen gets violent with Maddie
When Billy Mitchell pays a visit to her she snaps at him and then when Maddie rocks up and demands money, Mel reuses to help. It's not long before Maddie makes a remark about Hunter and Mel ends up grabbing Maddie, leaving her scared and Billy stunned.
After Mel apologises to Billy, she soon realises she can't confess all to the police. In the evening she's left relieved when she finds Hunter back at home but is shocked when she discovers where he's been all day…
Mel prepares to leave the Square
Following Hunter's revelation, Mel makes a dramatic decision and offers to sell the Mitchells her share of the club.
She refuses Phil's low offer and then has to rush off after Hunter calls her and reveals the police have arrived.
After the police tell Mel that Hunter threatened Maddie and Nicola, she's left unnerved by her son's recent attitude.
She then decides to accept Phil's offer.
She then tells Hunter her plan – they're leaving Walford.
Mel continues to take drastic actions and decides to hide all the knives in their house to protect Hunter.
At the end of the week, Mel encourages hunter to stay at home but when she calls Phil about her money from the club, she struggles to get hold of him.
Phil eventually arrives at their house but Hunter (being Hunter) antagonises him into leaving. It's not long before he realises that all the knives in the house have gone missing and when he confronts his mum about it, she confesses she just wants him to be safe. Sensing his mum's concern, Hunter agrees that they should leave Walford.
It was recently confirmed that Hunter will be leaving the Square – will he get away with Ray's murder? Or will his murderous secret come to light?
Ruby Allen is left humiliated
Elsewhere in Walford Ruby is mortified when she wakes up, following a night with Jay, and discovers that he's not in her house… meanwhile Jay is gushing to Keanu about how amazing Ruby is.
Ruby Allen confronts Jay Brown
Ruby tells Stacey Fowler all about her special night Jay but reveals she hasn't heard from Jay since. Her BFF tries to convince her that Jay's a good guy and after gives her some advice, unfortunately Ruby gets the wrong end of the stick and confronts Jay while he's at work.
She's then left horrified when she returns home and discovers a note Jay left for her on the fridge…
It's not long before she heads over to The Vic to make amends with Jay.
It looks like the pair get back on track.

Stacey and Martin Fowler go through a tough time
After helping out Ruby, Stacey realises that she's been giving her husband Martin a difficult time and decides to make it up to him with lunch. While they're talking Stacey reveals Jay spent the night with Ruby however she's then left annoyed at her husband's reaction and storms off…
Ruby Allen and Jay Brown head out on a double date
Noticing the tension between Stacey and Martin, Ruby decides to invite Jay on a night out with them. During their double date Martin is surprised to see how adorable Jay and Ruby are together.
Later, Ruby is flattered when Jay helps her land a new client for her events company.
Jean Slater splits from Ian Beale
Also on the Square, Jean deliberates on asking Ian out on a date. After some encouraging words from Kat she meets Ian for lunch but it soon becomes clear that his mind is elsewhere when she tries to flirt with him…
Things take a turn for the worse when Ian ends up offending Jean and she then decides to end things with him. Taken aback by his response she throws a drink over him.
Back at the Slater household, Kat begins to doubt whether she should go through with the Knowledge or not but luckily Mo steps in to help, keen to keep the Slater family together.
Jean Slater looks up her symptoms online
She then goes out of her way to take Tommy to school, meanwhile Jean Slater feels unwell and decides to look her symptoms up online…
Mo manages to convince Tommy to pretend to be ill for one of her money-making scheme...
But she ends up panicking when she loses him…
Stacey is over the moon to find out Kat passed her first round of Knowledge tests. They're both them confused when Martin brings Tommy home – he was wandering around outside on his own.
When Mo arrives home – flustered – Kat and Stacey decide to teach her a lesson.
Later on in the week, Mo begins to worry that Kat is getting too attached when she refers to Cherry as one of her children. She later gives Kat a reality check and makes her realise she can't look after all the children without any help.
Kat Moon visits Hayley Slater
Kat decides to visit Hayley and is delighted to hear about the progress she's made. She then decides to try and persuade her to return to the Square and look after Cherry.
Keanu Taylor has a chat with Sharon Mitchell
Over to the Mitchell household and Keanu Taylor tries to get a moment alone with Sharon Mitchell, she gives him a reality check and hurries off.
When Phil mentions the possibility of returning to Spain, Sharon begins to worry and suggests they go for lunch in The Vic. She's then left touched when Phil lets her take the reins and reveals he's not going to Spain.
Phew.
Sharon Mitchell is left confused
Later when Sharon pops to the toilets, Keanu follows her and says his piece leaving Sharon conflicted.

Over at the Carters and Linda is left feeling worried and impatient when Mick keeps missing Tamwar's phone calls… when he eventually gets through to him, Masood interrupts their conversation with some surprising news…
Kathy Beale returns to the Square
Kathy Beale returns to the Square.
She leaves Masood stunned when she admits she wants to make a go of things.
Ian is later shocked when his mum reveals she's in a relationship with Masood.

Before all that drama happens, here's everything that's set to happen on EastEnders this week... Hunter Owen begins to spiral out of control when he provokes Keanu Taylor and they end up having a physical fight. Hunter's actions leave Mel Owen worried, Jack Branning alarmed and Phil Mitchell concerned.
Also on the Square, Sharon Mitchell returns to the Square and Louise Mitchell makes her 'relationship' with Keanu Taylor official on social media but he's not too keen.
Denise Fox celebrates her 50th birthday, Jay Brown and Ruby Allen head out on their first date and Mick Carter and Mitch Baker's friendship continues to grow.
EastEnders airs on Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One.
