Derry Girls’ trailer for the third and final series has dropped
The end is near...but it looks so good!
Last updated 18th Mar 2022
Revealed just in time for St Patrick's Day, the team at Channel 4 have treated us with much-anticipated trailer for the third and final series of Derry Girls.
Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Erin), Nicola Coughlan (Clare), Jamie-Lee O'Donnell (Michelle), Louisa Harland (Orla) and Dylan Llewellyn (James) return to our screens this year.
While season one followed the group of hilarious teenagers navigating their way through 1990s Derry and The Troubles, season two documented the group battling with their parents, parties and school against the backdrop of the peace process.
But what will season three have in store? It looks like their dreaded GCSE's will play a major role, and of course life after school.
Without giving away too many spoilers, it looks like the gang take a trip to the port too. We can see Da, played by comedian Tommy Tiernan, on the ionic Big Dipper at Barry's Amusements in Portrush.
Derry Girls creator and writer Lisa McGee shared the trailer on twitter with the caption: 'We’re back b**! Happy St Paddy’s day!'. So it looks like she's more than excited for us all to finally see her hard work.
When will the third series of Derry Girls air?
No date has been revealed just yet, all Channel 4 will say is that it's 'coming soon.'
So stay tuned 🥰
