Deal or No Deal fans gutted as show is taken off air
Series one is over!
Since it returned to our TV screens back in November, daytime TV fans have been glued to their screens more or less every night, as Stephen Mulhern hosted the rebooted series of Deal or No Deal.
The series, which followed the same format as the original show, was a huge hit with viewers, especially with contestants such as Brad, Reece, and Sylvia all attempting to win money from the little red boxes.
However, as fans sat down to watch the latest instalment on Monday 18th December, viewers were met by Ben Shephard's Tipping Point, and not Deal or No Deal.
Why is Deal or No Deal not on TV?
Unfortunately for viewers, it turns out the series was only ever scheduled for 20 episodes, running between Monday 20th November and Friday 15th December.
Ahead of the final episode last week, host Stephen wrote on Instagram: 'Today is the last episode of this new series of Deal or No Deal! I know… unbelievable! This is one of my favourite moments of the past few weeks, when Sylvia gave The Banker an offer of her own…'
Viewers were quick to express their disappointment, with many praising the show for being such an entertaining series.
One wrote: 'Absolutely loved the new series of Deal Or No Deal. You have been an amazing presenter Stephen. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it ❤️😍', with another adding: 'More series please and on for longer like every night for a year 😂 loved this series. So so glad it’s back and you are a fab hose ❤️'. (sic)
A third wrote: 'Last one of the series! 😭 Stephen we are all gutted in my house. We absolutely love it, come back soon please. Has been absolutely fab'. (sic)
Will there be another series?
There's been no word from ITV/STV bosses just yet, but due to the huge success of series one, we imagine the show will be back again for a stint in 2024.
