Couple banned from kissing get engaged live on This Morning

This Morning viewers were in for a shock today after a proposal occurred live on the show.

Couple Nikki Whyatt and Samantha Lochrie, who have Down Syndrome, were guests on the show alongside their mums to discuss the awful news that they'd been 'banned' from kissing due to their disability.

After the couple delighted viewers with their attitudes towards love, little did they know what Nikki had up his sleeve for his girlfriend.

As Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes brought the interview to a close, Nikki shocked viewers at home and everybody in the studio when he got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Nikki.
