Tyrone Dobbs and Fiz Brown were one of the strongest couples in soapland history but recently it all came crashing down around them after Tyrone fell for newcomer Alina Popp in Coronation Street.

Despite vowing to stay together for their daughters Hope and Ruby, this week sees Tyrone and Alina's secret threaten to be exposed and Tyrone finally reveals the news - he and Alina are the real deal.

But how will Fiz take the news?

Rita is tipped for an award

Elsewhere, Rita Sullivan receives and anonymous Golden Heart Award nomination and while Brian Packham thinks it must be a prank, soon all becomes clear when one of Rita's former foster daughters arrives in town.

What is she up to?

Seb Franklin and Nina Lucas take their relationship to the next level and it's war between Asha and Aadi Alahan.

CHECK OUT: Corrie spoilers Monday 19 - Friday 23 April:

Emma spots Alina and Lucas looking friendly in the street and is full of enthusiasm for the potential new romance. Later on she gets the wrong end of the stick and shows up to Alina's following a romp with Tyrone and spots his jeans, but assumes their Lucas'. When Tyrone begs Alina to stick to that story, she agrees.

In her excitement, Emma lets slip to Maria about Alina's fling with Lucas, but Maria realises that at the time of Emma's visit to Alina's, she was cutting Lucas's hair. Putting two and two together, Maria storms round to the garage and tells Tyrone that if doesn't tell Fiz he's sleeping with Alina, she will.

Elsewhere, Rita is stunned to receive a Golden Heart Award but Brian is convinced that Cathy is up to her trolling again. All becomes clear when a woman pays a visit to the Kabin and Rita introduces her to Jenny and Gemma as Sharon Bentley, who she once fostered.

Sharon is full of remorse for the way she treated Rota years ago and explains she nominated her for an award for all her work fostering as a way to make amends. While Jenny and Gemma are suspicious and convinced Sharon's out to fleece them, Rita is quick to remind them that everyone deserves a second chance.

Meanwhile, Nina and Seb have been growing closer and with a gig date planned, Nina tells Seb that she's booked a hotel room for them afterward. Nina is clearly smitten and confides in Roy that she's in love with Seb - but later on overhears Ed and Paul takes the mickey out of her, and when a passive Seb doesn't stand up for her, she's heartbroken.

Over at number 7, Aadi is furious when he spots Corey leaving Asha's bedroom, and when he makes lewd comments about his sister, Aadi punches him in the face. Dev comes home to find Aadi and Asha at war and while Aadi is still fuming, he lies about why he punched Corey to protect his sister.

Fiz's hopes are raised when Emma gossips about Alina and Lucas, but with Maria's threat hanging over Tyrone's head, he prepares to tell Fiz that he and Alina are the real deal. Fiz pays a visit to the garage to find out where Tyrone's head is at but as soon as she sees him she knows he's chosen Alina over her.

Having returned from hospital, Carla helps a fragile Peter onto the sofa. Daniel's thrilled to hear that he's on the transplant list, but Peter remains cautious.

But before all that, here's what happened on Corrie last week...

After battling his alcoholism for years, Peter Barlow has been undergoing treatment for his liver condition but this week he learns it hasn't been working.

Nina and Seb move their relationship forward

With only one option left, Peter is touched when his son tells him he loves him - but Simon Barlow is having problems of his own.

With Leanne Battersby deeper that ever in Harvey's drugs operation, she reports what she knows to the police but when Harvey learns she is the person who shopped him, she's left with little choice but to skip town.

Nick Tilsey has a big decision to make and Tyrone Dobbs comes clean to Fiz Brown about his true feelings for Alina Popp.
