Leanne is shocked when Toyah comes to her with Wayne's lost Health and Safety report, explaining she'd found it under their mattress when she was making the bed and has suspicions about Nick.
Leanne begs Toyah not to go to the police until she's had a chance to speak with Nick. When Nick comes home to find the two of them arguing in the kitchen, he insists it must have been planted there and hands it into the police.
But Nick's honesty backfires when the police turn up and arrest him, accusing him of being in cahoots with Carla for an insurance claim.
With Nick in custody, Leanne is even more troubled when Shona tells her she overheard Nick telling David that he's done things he's "not proud of". What is Leanne to think?
Upon his release from the station, Nick meets up with David at Roy's Rolls and assures him the police are not interested in Audrey's money.
As Nick warns David what Shona had told Leanne about their conversation, Sarah catches them looking shifty. David goes home and promises Shona that he and Nick aren't up to anything untoward.
Still nursing a broken wrist, Mary is visited by Jan at the florist, who buys an enormous bunch of flowers.
Mary is thrilled when Jan says the flowers are for her to show how sorry he is for injuring her.
Now warming toward him, Mary brings up the topic of the drink that Jan suggested, insisting that they go to the pub together.
At the pub, Jan worries that Mary might have the wrong end of the stick, and think they're on a date, so tries his best to seem unappealing.
He makes up a story about a dead fiancée to appear emotionally unavailable, but it seems the tale has only melted Mary's heart more. Later on Jan explains his predicament to Moira who, with her own agenda, passes the gossip on to Mary.
Things go from bad to worse for heartbroken Mary when she arrives at Number 3 to find the door unlocked and Freda tells her that Norris has asked her to sell the house.

Tim hates every minute of enforced exercise, and when they get back to the house he makes a beeline for his secret chocolate stash while Sally takes a shower.
Sally goes shopping for health foods and promises Tim she'll make a delicious healthy dinner, inviting Eileen round to join them.
Unpacking the shopping, Sally is disappointed when she comes across Tim's secret stash of naughty foods. She waits until mid dinner party before confronting Tim and losing her temper.
Meanwhile, Abi lies when Brian asks her how her creative writing assignment is going, telling him she's halfway through.
It doesn't take Brian long to realise that Abi has lifted her story from a well-known film. Kindly, he suggests that Abi use her imagination and give it another go.
Everyone is worried about Peter as he struggles to look after himself properly following Carla's disappearance.

Arriving home from their appointment, Peter is approached by Leanne in the street who expresses how angry she is about the pressure this has put their son Simon under.
Leanne explains that she's discussed the matter with Nick, and Simon will be coming to live with them while Toyah and Imran find somewhere new.
Meanwhile, Gemma quits her job at Primer Donna, complaining to Ryan at the pub that she smells of kebab meat. When she suddenly gets upset Ryan takes her into the back room to calm down, but when they emerge together Chesney gets the wrong idea.
Feeling isolated from everyone – especially Chesney – Gemma makes plans to leave Weatherfield. As she waits for her taxi to a new life with hey baby, she's joined by Paul in the park.
Paul implores her to reconsider as there are so many people who love her and she could live as a family in Weatherfield. As they're talking, Chesney pulls up in the car. What does he have to say to Gemma?
Yasmeen is more than happy to help Tim in his healthy eating endeavors, and wants to prove to him and Sally that there is such a thing as a healthy curry.
