Refusing to admit she's struggling to cope with the quads on her own, Gemma Winter won't accept mum Bernie Winter's help when she comes to stay on Coronation Street next week.

But when the other mums at the baby group lie to her about their social plans, it's the last straw for Gemma who's an emotional wreck and ends up risking her babies lives when she steps out into the road.

Will she finally admit she needs help?

CHECK OUT: Coronation Street spoilers Monday 16 - Friday 20 March

Ayla is panicked when Geoff tells her that he and Yasmeen are selling their share of Speed Dahl and are moving to Cyprus.

Begging her nan to recognise the signs of emotional abuse, Alya chucks some of her clothes in a bag and insists she comes home with her. When Geoff finds out what's happened, he flies off the handle.

Left with little choice, Alya reports Geoff to the police, convinced he must have a history of abuse. Later on, Alya conducts a search of her own.

Alya confronts her nan with evidence that Geoff was once charged with causing an affray. Clearly distressed, Yasmeen begs Alya not to make her choose between them – but is it too late?

Elsewhere, Emma is concerned that she's more into Seb than he is to her when he turns down a free holiday to Australia to visit Emma's mum, Fiona.

Maria advises Emma to play things cool with Seb and so, changing tact, Emma tells him she's busy that evening with the girls and he'll have to find his own entertainment.

A disgruntled Seb heads to the Rovers where his mood is lifted when he bumps into Alina. After their chance meeting, Emma worries when she overhears Mary telling Alina to be careful with Seb...

Meanwhile, Evelyn is worried about Cerberus who is ill, so she takes him to the vet with Tyrone in tow - but she's surprised to bump into an old boyfriend, Arthur.

Tyrone watches with amusement as Evelyn and Arthur catch up as it's clear she still fancies him. Back at home Tyrone tells Fiz about Evelyn's love interest.

The next day, Evelyn heads to the park with Cerberus and is pleased when Arthur shows up walking his cockapoo, Kendal.

The two of them enjoy catching up, and Arthur makes a point of telling Evelyn that he will be at the Rovers the following day at 6pm. But it's definitely not a date.

Evelyn excitedly tells Claudia about her non-date with her old beau and Claudia, being the pal that she is, offers to help her with her hair and make-up.

But after the make-over, Evelyn is irked to see that Claudia has made her up to look just like her. Evelyn scrubs off most of the make up and waits for Arthur in the pub.

Over at the Stillwater retirement home, Ken is surprised to find that Norris is also a resident – especially when he begs for help escaping.

Michael feels buoyed that he is making progress with Grace and Tianna as they all catch up at the café one afternoon.

But he's caught off guard when she flies off the handle after suggesting he and Grace meet for a drink to make a more formal plan about Tianna.

After their chat on the phone, Gemma is surprised to return home and find that her mum Bernie has arrived.

After seeing the state of disarray at the house, Bernie tells Gemma that she's back to help out but Gemma is adamant she's managing fine on her own.

At baby senses class, Gemma introduces Bernie to her new friends, Vanessa and Imogen, but they're less than friendly towards her.

The next week, Bernie tears a strip off Vanessa and Imogen for lying to her about their social plans and making her feel left out.

An upset Gemma leaves Baby Senses but, overwhelmed by the days events, steps out in front of a car that has to swerve to avoid hitting her and the pram.

Later on, Gemma breaks down when she realises she's endangered her babies' lives, and as she sobs to her mum, Bernie vows to help.

After Ali Neeson collapses and is accused of a drugs overdose, he's adamant that Gary Windass is behind it.

Determined to prove he hasn't been using again, Ali takes Maria Connor hostage when she gets in his car to check he's ok.

After he calms down and finally lets her go, Ali receives a visit from a furious Gary and, realising he's gone too far this time, vows to leave Weatherfield.

Gemma refuses her mum's help

Elsewhere, James Bailey is celebrating his mum's Weatherfield's Golden Heart award win when he's approached by a reporter wanting comments on the rumours online.

Fearing his career is ruined, James furiously denies the rumours but Aggie Bailey worries he's hiding who he truly is.

Meanwhile, Alya Nazir has been investigating and finds a clue linking Geoff Metcalfe to the horrible Speed Dahl reviews - but who will Yasmeen Nazir believe?

Ken Barlow and Claudia Colby finally move to Stillwater and Nina Lucas is unwelcome at Roy Cropper's bat watching group.
