ITV have announced that the Coronation Street cast and crew have returned to work and are set to recommence filming, following an enforced halt in production due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Fans won't have to wait too long, with filming set to begin on Tuesday 9th June.

Earlier today (1st June), the soap's production team began a health and safety induction concerning the new protocols in place throughout the studios and set. These new safety measures are in accordance with the TV production guidelines, which were recently issued, and will be observed throughout filming.
