Coming up in Coronation Street... On Sally’s advice, Elaine heads off to Street Cars to make her son see once and for all that she is telling the truth and that Geoff is a nasty piece of work. Unfortunately, she’s intercepted by a certain someone on the way there... Yes, it’s ‘Jiggle It Geoff’ - and he ain’t happy.

After Elaine introduces herself to Sally Metcalfe as Tim's mum, the two women join forces in their bid to clear Yasmeen Nazir's name.

Later, Alya frets that something might have happened to Elaine – and Faye wants to know who her grandad was arguing with in the ginnel. He makes out he’s never seen the “mad woman” in his life, insisting his ex is dead.

But when Sally goes to husband Tim with her newfound evidence and implores him to see his dad Geoff has been manipulating them all, Tim is furious she's making him choose between her and his dad. Sally begs Tim to open his eyes, but he’s having none of it...

Gary comes round from his coma

Elsewhere, Gary Windass comes round from his coma and begs Sarah Platt not to tell the police about their conversation before the car accident. Sarah's story just about stands up, but Adam Barlow isn't so convinced.

Leanne Battersby is wracked with guilt after lying about Oliver Battersby's health and Gemma Winter is forced to apologise to Abi Franklin.

CHECK OUT: Coronation Street Monday 3 - Friday 7 August

At the hospital, Gary finally comes round after being knocked unconscious and Sarah goes to visit him to see how he's doing.

Gary begs Sarah not to tell the truth about what he told her about Ray and still being in love with her. Sarah is saved from having to explain to Adam when the police arrive.

As she's taken in for questioning, Sarah's cover up story slips when the police want to know why she'd dialled 999 before the accident.

Discharged from the hospital, Gary hurriedly packs a hold-all and places a letter each for Maria, Izzy and Nicola on the mantlepiece.

Meanwhile, and exhausted Maria confides in Carla that business isn't going well at the furniture shop and she's worried about how they'll manage for money.

Carla is surprised by the news, especially since Nick told her that Gary scrapped his plans to increase the rent at the factory.

Later on, Gary arrives home and is met by Maria who outright asks him if he's still in love with Sarah and if that's why he's scrapped the rent increase.

Gary insists that nothing is going on and that he decided against increasing the rent because Nick is going through so much at home with Oliver.

Meanwhile, Sarah is suspicious about Gary's change of heart but he insists it's not a bribe. Back at home, Adam apologises to Sarah about doubting her story.

As Adam promises to trust Sarah and to drop his accusations, he's left uneasy when Sarah fails to mention that Gary's scrapped the rent increase when he asks her about her day.

Elsewhere, an overwhelmed Leanne is still working out how to cope with Oliver's diagnoses when she runs into an old friend from antenatal classes, Mandy.

Leanne feigns enthusiasm when Mandy asks after Oliver and makes out that everything is fine. When Mandy leaves Leanne is flooded with guilt.

Back at home, Leanne confides in Toyah about lying to Mandy and admits she feels like a terrible mother for not being able to accept her son's condition.

Toyah's heart breaks for her sister, but Leanne urges her to get the wheels in motion for their fostering plans so they can bring some joy to the family.

Elsewhere, Abi confides in Jenny about the twins leaving and Jenny does her best to support her, but at the bar, Gemma overhears.

Without thinking, Gemma butts into the conversation and comments that she couldn't cope if she was separated from her quads, leaving Abi to flee the pub, upset.

Gemma feels awful for her insensitive comment and tracks down Abi to apologise. Abi explains that for once she's trying to be selfless, by letting them go.

At the café, Elaine spots Sally queueing to order and bites the bullet, introducing herself as Tim's mother and that she's trying to help her friend Yasmeen.

Elaine explains that it broke her heart having to leave Tim as a child but Geoff was so abusive that she couldn't stay, giving Sally food for thought.

Sally can't help but believe Elaine's story and urges her not to give up on her son because he, just like her and Yasmeen, is a victim of Geoff.

Elaine agrees with Sally and heads off to the taxi rank in search of Tim, but is in for a shock when she's cornered in the ginnel by Geoff.

Having overheard the altercation, later on Faye questions her grandad about who he was arguing with in the ginnel, but Geoff dismisses Elaine as a madwoman who's spreading lies.

Geoff sticks to his story even when the police show up to question him, insisting that his first wife is dead and he's never seen Elaine before in his life.

Back at number four, Sally begs Tim to open his eyes and see that Geoff is an abusive bully, that Elaine is his mother and that Geoff has been feeding him lies all his life.

Soon Geoff arrives, insistent that Elaine is lying. He eventually admits that he did confront Elaine in the ginnel but only to warn her to stay away from their family.

Tim riles at Sally not to make him choose between her and his dad, but it's clear Sally's words have struck a chord with him and he's left doubting his alliances.

But before all that, let's recap on what's happening this week on Corrie...

Have Gary's dastardly deeds FINALLY caught up with him?

After Sarah Platt buys a flashy watch from Bernie Winter that she found in the forest, she's confused when Bernie tries to buy it back.

But as soon as Sarah works out it's Gary Windass who wants the watch, her suspicions are roused and she confronts him in the street, leading to catastrophe (for the flame-haired one).

Gemma is forced to apologise to Abi

Elsewhere, Yasmeen Nazir wakes up in hospital after suffering a heart attack. With her trial postponed, has her granddaughter Alya Nazir managed to source a final hope for her day in court?

Meanwhile, Geoff Metcalfe convinces his son Tim Metcalfe that everything Elaine Grimshaw's saying are lies, and Ed Bailey has to make a plan B for his 30th wedding anniversary with Aggie.
