Hope Stape has been feeling increasingly resentful as excitement builds for the new baby, and when Tyrone Dobbs arranges a party to celebrate the gender reveal, Hope has had enough.

Later a fire blazes at the salon flat and Hope is acting suspiciously. Has she been up to her old tricks again?

Elsewhere, Aadi Alahan has caught feelings for Summer Spellman and her best friend Amy McDonald is only too happy to help Aadi get the girl.

Evelyn and Hope watch in horror as the fire blazes

But soon everyone in the street knows about Aadi's crush - the only problem is, they've got the wrong end of the stick.

Following James Bailey's arrest, Michael Bailey is determined not to give up on his appeal and Craig Tinker is left feeling wretched when James confronts him.

Peter Barlow is ready for a new crack of the whip, Carla Connor and Sarah Platt finally work together and Shona Ramsey starts a war with Todd Grimshaw.

CHECK OUT: Corrie Monday 2 - Friday 5 August:

Michael enters an appeal over James' arrest, arguing that his brother was targeted by a racist officer - but he's denied. Later, James passes Craig in Victoria Gardens and explains how disappointed he is that Craig wouldn't attest that he wasn't driving recklessly at the time of his arrest. Craig is left feeling wretched for his choices.

Aadi and Summer have been hanging out more and when Aadi brings round some diabetic cookies and compliments her, it looks like there's a spark. Aadi confides in Amy that he wants to ask Summer out and an enthusiastic Amy agrees to mentor him.

Tyrone organises celebration drinks when he and Alina discover they're having a baby boy. When Alina excuses herself because she's tired, a neglected Hope lets herself into the salon flat. Hours later, a fire blazes above the salon and Alina is rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

Sarah and Carla finally agree to put their differences aside over their increasing worry about Izzy. During a conference call, Izzy opens up about how isolating and difficult she found lockdown and they both agree to do whatever they can to help.

Eileen is still holding fort against Todd after his stunt with the heat pump, but George jumps to his defence, telling her he's been kipping at the funeral parlour and to cut him some slack. When he catches Todd dejectedly scrolling flats he can't afford, George insists he move in with him.

At the Rovers, Peter tells Carla that he feels like he's been given a new chance at life with his new liver and is seeing it as an opportunity to start over, explaining that he's been looking into a career change.

As the investigation into the fire ramps up a gear, a worried Hope asks Evelyn if the person who started it will get into trouble, leading Evelyn to become suspicious. Sharing her concerns, Fiz jumps to Hope's defence but soon confides in Tyrone that she thinks Hope might known more than she's letting on.

Aadi's romance training gets underway and Tracy is convinced he and Amy are dating. Tracy shares the news with Dev that Amy and Aadi are an item but that she's not meant to know. Things soon implode when Steve gets involved and accuses Dev of encouraging Aadi to have sex with his daughter, leaving the teenagers mortified.

Sick of the residents' chaotic parking, Shona decides to take matters into her own hands and prints off some fake tickets. Slapping one on the hearse's windscreen, Shona soon gets a piece of Todd's mind when he tells her she's committing fraud.

But before all that, here's everything coming up on Corrie this week...

Laura Neelan has a wicked plan to cash in on her daughter Kelly's trauma but Imran Habeeb and Toyah Battersby soon put a stop to it.
