Daniel is distraught when he finds Bertie barely conscious in his cot, and rushes him to hospital where he's told Bertie has contracted measles.

Wracked with guilt, Daniel confides in Ken that after Bertie's first appointment, he couldn't bare to bring him back to have the rest of his jabs.

Later on, Maria is at the Rovers with Ali when she's struck down with intense abdominal pains. At the hospital, the doctor breaks the news that Maria has lost her baby.

As Maria explains her previous symptoms to Ali, he realises that she's contracted measles and the doctor agrees that's probably what caused her miscarriage.

Gary returns from Bristol and tries to comfort Maria as she blames herself for losing their baby. When Gary learns that Bertie had measles and Maria must have contracted it from him, he's furious.

Cornering Bethany and Daniel as they walk home, Gary lays into Daniel and says it's all his fault that Maria lost the baby, accusing him of being a bad father.

Back at the flat, Daniel tells Bethany to put her wet clothes in the washing machine and gives her Sinead's old dressing gown to wear, before going to take a nap.

Waking up from his nap emotional and dazed, Daniel sees who he thinks is the figure of Sinead in the living room and, pulling her close, begs her not to leave.

As Daniel comes to his senses and realises it's Bethany, and not Sinead he's been kissing, he's even more upset. Later, Beth warns Bethany to stay away from Daniel as she'll never replace Sinead.

Meanwhile, Gemma and Chesney are at breaking point as they struggle to find any time to sleep while looking after the quadruplets.

When Paul and Billy offer to look after the babies, Chesney takes the opportunity for some alone time and convinces a reluctant Gemma to take a walk with him.

In Victoria Gardens, Gemma confides in Chesney that she's not been feeling good about her post pregnancy body. As Chesney tries to reassure her, they're distracted by a passing bus.

Gemma and Chesney are livid to see their FreshCo advert on the side of the bus – but Gemma and Chesney have been edited out! Gemma is convinced this just proves she's not good enough for their babies.

Elsewhere, Tim begins to panic as it seems Charlie is settling into Weatherfield for the long haul when she moves into the Rovers, and begs Abi for help.

On Abi's advice, Tim explains to Charlie that her talents are wasted behind the bar and that she's destined for greater things.

Charlie is flattered, but when she admits that she's been interviewing for a job at Gatwick airport and it's basically in the bag, Tim worries she'll leave before signing the divorce papers.

Later on, Charlie tells Tim that she's turned down the job at Gatwick and wants to give their marriage a proper go. But Tim is caught out when Sally arrives to hear it all, despite him promising her everything was under control.

Sally is furious to know that EVERYONE knows that Tim is an accidental bigamy, and lays into him in front of everyone for making the whole situation worse.

Geoff fears losing control of Yasmeen when Alya convinces her there's nothing wrong with her drinking. But still, when Peter asks Yasmeen to join him for an alcoholic support group, Yasmeen agrees.

Returning from the meeting Yasmeen realises that Geoff has been manipulating her. Furious, Geoff forces her to drink a bottle of wine to prove she hasn't got a problem.

With their marriage hanging by a thread, Steve and Tracy go to see a marriage guidance counsellor and try their best to make an effort with each other.

But after attending Ken's book club together as a relationship building exercise, it's clear they're both out of their comfort zone and have to decide if their marriage is worth saving.

Now let's catch up on what's happening this week...

After a difficult legal case, Hope Brown finally tells the truth about the bruises on her arm – that Jade Rowan drew them on with make up.

With all charges now dropped, Fiz Brown is finally allowed to return home – but she isn't about to let what Jade did to her and her family go unpunished, especially when they find that Hope is missing the next day.

Despite police finding no evidence of Jade's involvement at her house, Fiz isn't convinced and breaks into Jades' place to conduct her own investigation. But things turn nasty when Jade arrives home unannounced and Fiz attacks her with a chopping board.
