I'm A Celeb viewers confused as to why Charlene gets away with 'rule break'

Viewers think she should be punished

In what was one of the biggest shocks of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here so far, Matt Hancock received the most votes alongside Mike Tindall to be the first camp leader, and after he chose Loose Women star Charlene White as his deputy, the pair came out victorious in the challenge.

After being appointed camp leader and camp deputy, Matt and Charlene were forced to give out jobs to their fellow camp mates, as well as being asked to sleep in the comfort of the RV camper van, which is fitted with two beds and quilts!

However, after noticing a number of pretty terrifying spiders whilst checking out her new accommodation, Charlene refused to sleep in the RV, breaking down in tears in the Bush Telegraph.

She said: "I can’t do this tonight. My bravery levels are done for today. I really don't want to have to sleep in the RV."

After returning to her usual camp bed and leaving Matt alone in the RV, viewers were quick to take to social media to ask how Charlene is allowed to disobey the trial rules.

One wrote: '#ImACeleb....why isn't Charlene or the camp being punished for deliberately rule breaking by not sleeping in the RV....why should she get her own way...??'. (sic)

Another asked: 'Why isn’t Charlene sleeping in the RV make her do a trial for disobeying the rules ! #imaceleb', with a third writing: 'Charlene should be made to sleep in the RV or have a punishment #ImaCeleb'. (sic)

A fourth added: 'Will Charlene / the celebrities be penalised for not sleeping in the RV? I’m sure in previous years they’ve classed things like that as a “rule break” and there’s been some sort of punishment for it? #ImACeleb'. (sic)

Check out which famous faces are rumoured to be taking part in I'm A Celeb: All Stars

Joe Swash

Former soap star Joe Swash is no stranger to I'm A Celeb! As well as winning series 8 in 2008, Joe went on to host the spin-off show for a number of years.

Dean Gaffney

EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney has one of the most memorable eating trials in the show's history thanks to his hilarious reactions in 2006.

Gillian McKeith

Who could forget Gillian McKeith? The nutritionist and TV presenter appeared on series 10 in 2010, finishing in 8th place. Gillian is probably most remembered for THAT faint during a trial.
After being rumoured to join the All Stars series she appeared in the first episode.

Andy Whyment

Coronation Street actor Andy Whyment, who plays the famous Kirk Sutherland on the soap, delighted fans when he appeared on the 2019 series. After being rumoured to join the All Stars series he appeared in the second episode.

Although former health secretary Matt has been voted to take part in every Bush Tucker trial since his arrival, it looks like viewers are getting a bit sick of his screen time, with Boy George, Chris Moyles and Babatunde Aleshe taking part in Tuesday night's Angel of Agony.

Tonight's (Tuesday 15th November) episode will air at the slightly later time of 9.15pm, just as the final of The Great British Bake Off finishes.

I'm A Celeb airs every night on ITV.
