Our Yorkshire Farm has been one of Channel 5's most popular shows since it first aired back in 2008, so it's no surprise fans were gutted to hear the sad news that farm owners Amanda and Clive Owen have decided to split after 22 years of marriage.

The couple, who live with their nine children on the mammoth sheep farm in Swaledale, released a joint statement on Thursday 9th June, confirming they've decided to part ways following marriage struggles over the last 12 months.

Although they confessed they will continue to work together and co-parent their children, fans of the hit show have been left wondering if any more series of Our Yorkshire Farm will be produced.

Channel 5 bosses have now spoken about the shock news, shedding light on what the future holds for the show.

A spokesperson told Express.co.uk: "We respect the privacy of Amanda and Clive Owen at this time.

“They are very much a part of the Channel 5 family and we will continue to work with them in the future."

After admitting last year they were undergoing struggles in their marriage, Amanda released a statement on behalf of the couple, revealing they've now chosen to part ways for good.

Amanda wrote on Instagram: 'Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family.

'Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children.

'We would like to thank everyone for their support and would ask that the media please respect our privacy as we work through this difficult time.
