A whole week of live shows!

Author: Alex RossPublished 30th May 2022

After being postponed last year due to the pandemic, hit entertainment show Britain's Got Talent returned with a bang earlier this year, with more talented acts trying to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

And now that all four judges have used their Golden Buzzers, as well as hosts Ant and Dec, the audition process has come to an end, with the live semi finals and big final taking place this week!

When are the Britain's Got Talent live shows?

Just like usual, the live semi finals will take place over five nights for one consecutive week, starting on Monday 30th May, until Friday 3rd June.

Britain's Got Talent will air every night at 8pm for two hours as the nation votes for this year's BGT finalists.

All five Golden Buzzers have already been used this series, with singer Loren Allred, comedian Axel Blake, dance group Born To Perform, musical duo Flintz & T4ylor ,and magician Keiichi Iwasaki all getting passes straight to the semi finals.

When is the Britain's Got Talent final?

It has now been confirmed the 2022 final of Britain's Got Talent will take place on Sunday 5th May at 8pm.

Sydnie Christmas

Sydnie Christmas won the 2024 series of Britain's Got Talent, the singer who dreams of performing on the West End told Ant and Dec: "I cannot believe the amount of love that I've felt since it aired. I am overwhelmed with love and it is the most amazing thing.
"And I wish for one day that every single person in this room feels the way I do one day with this love. It's amazing, thank you so much!"

Since the show returned in April, it's safe to say it hasn't been without some controversy.

A number of this year's acts have been forced to defend themselves with viewers claiming they were 'already famous'.

Singer Loren Allred, who won Amanda's Golden Buzzer in episode one, provided the vocals of Jenny Lind on hit movie The Greatest Showman.

A BGT spokesperson has since spoken out to defend Loren's inclusion, saying: "Whilst most people will have heard the infamous Greatest Showman track, Loren is not a household name, and she deserves her spot on the BGT stage.

"We hope that such articles will not count against somebody who is well-deserving of this opportunity. It's fantastic that Loren is now able to step out and stand in her own right to be the face, and not just the voice, of one of the most well-known tracks of all time."

As well as this, viewers spotted a major editing error, and Ant McPartlin had to receive 'medial attention' after attempting to crack a coconut on his forehead.
